Peanut butter or caramel?

Which do you prefer as a flavor? Think ice-cream flavors, candy bars, etc.
This is surprisingly tough for me, because I love peanut butter candies, especially Reese's products, but caramel in ice cream is really good too. Come to think of it, I really love caramel in candy, and peanut butter in ice cream. It's even better when there is both! Gah, I cannot choose.

I love peanut butter on sandwiches and stuff, but for candy I prefer caramel as long as it's not too sticky. As for ice cream, I rarely do either, as I'm the traditional chocolate type, but I think I'd take peanut butter before caramel.

I like peanut butter alone, caramel should be inside something, Twix is awesome. ;D Caramel alone itself is really bitter and nasty.

Peanut butter is a better sandwich ingredient, and Reese's is the best candy in existence; peanut butter wins.

Caramel is terrible. Peanut butter is delicious, and I second Yahoozy's comment that Reese's is the best.

If I had to eat one or the other by itself, caramel in a heartbeat. That said, peanut butter is much better with chocolate, but caramel is a cool novelty food (caramel apples etc.).
Never liked PB&Js that much.

Yahoozy is on the money. Peanut Butter is just so versatile, and goes with so many types of bread products.
Asda do a wonderful Cashew nut and Peanut spread. I have three jars in my fridge.
Peanut Butter.

Nutella any one?
Caramel is slightly better in ice cream, but I give peanut butter the edge for its versatility: candy, toast, sandwiches, and ice cream.

I've gotta agree with Yahoozy and a happy song on the sandwich and candy point of view, but I hate peanut butter in ice cream. And I do love me some ice cream.
Then again, I have higher preferences in ice cream than caramel, so I'll go with peanut butter overall.

While Nutella is one of the best things humans have made, it is not peanut butter. It is hazel nut.
Caramel can go on bread you guys. Actually, caramel can taste good on bread by itself. Peanut butter has to have a jam to go with it. Caramel candy is delicious. Caramel with fruit is better than peanut butter and fruit. Caramel works well with ice cream as well. Peanut butter makes good candies. I personally love Reese's. They are soooooo good. Although, caramel has some other candies that I wouldn't want to miss. I would have to say caramel, but I like peanut butter a lot too.

Oh dear god, nutella is delicious.
But it is NOT peanut butter, so it does not factor into this.

They're different things for different purposes. I guess I have a narrow view of peanut butter, because I don't consider it as a flavour of ice cream or candy bar, but the internet tells me I'm wrong on that front.
So, you know, on bread and toast, peanut butter is nice, but I would lean towards caramel for the other things.
P.S. Twix is supreme.

You are oh so wrong.
Peanut butter on its own is my favourite sandwich filling of all time. Caramel? It's alright, but there really is no competition here as far as I'm concerned.

Neither. I don't like caramel and I'm allergic to peanuts.

I don't remember this being about whether or not you had pie. Thanks for letting us know that you don't though.

I have never found an ice cream flavor I didn't like, so I'm just going to ignore ice cream flavors when I make my decision. Caramel.

I like it with jam because it lightens up the thickness that the peanut butter is. The texture and temperature is off without the cool, moist jam. A pure peanut butter sandwich is not for me. I do like jam on bread without peanut butter, so maybe I just like jam a lot.
