It is kind of like caramel, but a little different. It is probably one of the most delicious things I have tasted, and works great with breads, ice cream, and a lot more. The easiest way to make it, is to boil a can of condensed milk for 90 mins. (No, not very healthy, but who cares?) It will come out a light caramel brown. (The sugar in the condensed milk caramelizes or something I think) After that, take it out and let it cool. Then, eat it and fall in love.

Here is an article that knows more than me, so you should probably trust this. I am in Chile which is why I call it manjar. Anyways, try it! It will not disappoint. I eat this EVERY day here. It is pretty much a staple food haha.

I saw the topic title Manjar and thought this was going to be a really weird, probably disgusting thread. Turns out its just about Dulce de leche and thats fine with me.

Russians eat pancakes with what we call "sweetened and condensed milk".
Everyone else thinks it's weird for some reason. These people are the unenlightened.

I personally like maple syrup that my grandfather from Vermont sends us on my pancakes. He actually makes the stuff. It is delicious.
