Don't we already have #homework on IRC for this? Also, don't forget this thread created by Matt, it died and everyone forgot about it.

Yeah, this is pointless. :/ Edit: Refer to below post for additional info.

I wouldn't call this pointless. That other thread died, but if you could get some inertia behind this one it could work. That said, I wouldn't bet on it. As for IRC, #homework? I don't know what that is, but I'm sure you're almost always better off just asking in #n.

I'd suggest refraining from debating the merits of the thread and instead waiting until someone might have a question.

Pin?

The only subject I can think of that I'm possibly better at than anyone else on Metanet is Latin, so hit me up if you need anything.

I think if someone pinned this with a list of who to go to for what, the actual helping could be carried out on IRC or by PMs. But without the thread, I wouldn't know who's minoring in Spanish or knows software back and front, etc.

In highschool, I was the master of the intangible. Questioner of reality. Doubter of existence.

Put me down for English. I got straight A's.

Oh, I suppose I'll volunteer Philosophy, too.

I can help with English; I write novels and shit. Also History, given that I know the topic. I'll probably post here some time soon; I often have homework I need help with.
PS: I use semicolons a lot, don't I?

Put me down for quantum mechanics.

Granted none of you will ever take it, but that's kinda the point.

I'll help out with maths, anything up to about A-level further. And if anyone here is in the tiny minority who do Olympiad-type maths then I can help you out with that too - I'm in the UK Top20 for this (*shameless self-promotion*).

People seem to think I'm good at writing. So, like, I could probably help make your essay not-awful or something.

"Wow. I wake up and this thread has turned into a Latin competition! I love Latin."

That actually makes me think I want to sign on as a Latin "expert" here. Although it's useless to ask me definitions.
Rather than make him look stupid, you made yourself look like a jackass. He can like something and be bad at it at the same time.

Joke, bro. Joke. But hey, I'm happy being in the top three. Wait, no I'm not. Fuck off.

EDIT: Oh also I can and will write papers for people if the topic is incredibly interesting. Like penguin mating or something.

ANOTHER GLEEFUL EDIT: pikman, I had completely forgotten that idea, and all the support it got. Why the hell are we still called Memoirs?

I'm in my AS year at the moment (AS exams are ridiculously easy...). Yeah I'm definitely taking maths at university.

So, you did olympiad maths? Interesting...

EDIT:

EDIT2: Un-edited the edit.

Well I never did olympiad maths, but I am currently studying maths at Cambridge, which is where I assume you'll be applying? If you plan to stay in the UK that is.
