You're only supposed to need two serves of fruit, at least in Australia ("Go for 2 & 5").

It's fruit AND veg. Fruit is too acidic in general, eating five a day could damage your digestion.

I tend to eat enough, mostly likely satisfying my 5 a day on average. I always have a large bag of spinach that I snack on raw during the day (instead of junk), and I eat at least one apple. When I cook I always have a portion of fresh vegetables.

I rarely eat fruits other than strawberries and avacados on their own; however, I often incorporate many into the meals I prepare. I made this boss salad the other day; like a mutant Steak-y Cobb.

Ooh, this actually sounds like a really good idea. I really don't think I eat enough greens, but I will graze on anything around me when using the computer.

Yep. Keep it in the fridge with the bag sealed and it stays nice and crisp for days. Really tasty, too!

Most days I eat one. It varies; an orange, apple, banana, whatever. I don't really care about eating healthy but fruits can be a nice pick-me-up in the mid-afternoon.

I've averaged about .3 servings of fruit a day and .1 servings of vegetables (assuming you don't count potatoes) for most of my life. I weigh 140 pounds, my cholesterol and blood pressure are both fine, and I get sick the least of everyone I know.

Either I've been blessed with the weirdest functioning body ever, or what I call a meatetarian diet (really bread+meat) works just as well (or better, from what I've heard) as a vegetarian diet.

Canada recommends 10 servings of fruit and vegetables, rather than five of each. I believe you would see more people closer to that goal just because vegetables are easier to snack on usually and great with meals.

Same here. Except I weigh 5 pounds less.
