Excellent! I've always approved of doing what Christians do and sheltering one's children from the other viewpoints instead of letting them decide for themselves.

This just shows that there are stupid people on the atheist side as well.

You need a joke proxy to show that? Maybe you should get out more.

I swear the internet just kills humor. There's no way to tell when a site is a joke :(

The vast majority of people who identify as Atheists are gullible contrarions.
Like, atheism is definitely right, but few involved in the debate have the background in science to say that definitively. (myself included. :) )
The shoe obviously fits on the other foot; nobody on the religious side demands or obtains any proof and feel perfectly confident that they are absolutely correct. All I'm saying is that it's a complicated tapestry.

Don't blame the internet for your failings as a human being.

Something I've actually heard a self-described atheist say:
"God made my sister kill herself, so I don't believe in Him anymore."
I didn't see that she knew the difference between belief in the existence of God and belief that God had her best interests at heart, so her "I don't believe in God" only extended to a lack of trust. She called herself an atheist because that's what she thought that view was.

There is a difference between a religious person and a stupid person. Your above example cites parents who are both. I was raised Christian, but my parents only made an effort to shield me from the same things that ESRB and movie ratings do, not from observing the rest of the world.

While linking it to atheism is stupid, it depends on which definition of believe she is using, and thinks the regligeon is using. It all makes sence if it's a melodramatic "I USED TO BELIEVE IN YOU!".

Do they have this in analog flavor? I could use one or two, what with the crazy Harry Potter-banning moms we've got around here.

Freaking amazing.
Amazing.
I love satire that's practical as well.

To me, that's stupid because of the "God
made" part. Pretty sure it doesn't work like that.

If you install this and it worked properly, it would seem then that you wouldn't be able to visit

Why... Why are you using... [url] tags?
Anyway, I like this. Satire is probably one of my favorite types of humor.
And I think I'll agree with smartalco on this one; recently, I've had heavily moderated internet viewing privileges instituted. I don't agree with all of it, but I can at least understand why certain websites would be blocked from my viewing.

Uh. Uh. Haven't you heard? [url] tags are the new italic.
I'm boggling over how I managed to click the [URL] button instead of the
button when they're eight freaking buttons away and not notice until now.

I... I'm not sure how I feel about this. My insides feel all funny. Like, funny like there are gnomes inside my tummy laughing somewhere, but I don't know where exactly they are. Which is strange, because I *always* know where my gnomes are.

Nah, we just had him on post-approval and cleaned up his insanity before it was published. Looks like it expired, though. Looks like you guys got a taste of what the admins have had to deal with.
