Does weather change your mood?

So I was really sad today because of lots of shit going on in my life, and then the sun comes out and my friend tells me a joke and 30 seconds later I'm feeling happy.

What?
Does this stuff happen to you guys too?

When it rains here, it makes me happy that it's raining. When it's cloudy, it makes me hopeful that it will soon be raining.

The harder the rain, the brighter I feel. And overcast makes me feel super good too :)

When it gets all dark and cloudy due to a thunderstorm, that;s my cue to blast death metal. I love it.

Unfortunately, I live in Florida, which isn't called the Sunshine State for nothing ;_;

I'm much more relaxed in the sunshine. When it rains it's annoying, but only if I have to walk in it.

I love it when it's rainy. Walking in the rain is like, the best thing ever.
Having said that, I love it when it's sunny and warm.

My favourite is warm and rainy. Beautiful.

There's nothing better than walking in the rain with the right music on (not death metal for me, though).

Better than the desert though, at least Florida has a rainy season.

Weather changes everyone's mood. Anyone who says otherwise isn't very self-aware.

I love cloudy days.
Rain annoys me.
Sun pisses me off.

Same, although if I am in the house, I like the sound of heavy rain.

My favorite is when it's sunny but cold. The same way it is when snowfall is melting.

Rain is awesome too.

Sunny and cold creates a feeling of euphoria.
Fuck umbrellas, bicycling in the rain creates an alternate sense of things, as though everything is on equal ground.
The snow makes me feel alive.

Gawd, am I the only one who actually like the summer here? I thought that would be the general concensus, as it is with the majority of the UK's population.

It depends on if the rain is preventing me to do things that day.

Come to think of it, very hot and humid weather really spoils my mood worse than almost anything else. I hate vacationing in tropical regions during the summer, and when I was still going to school in Boston, the overbearing heat of the summer's end just made me want to put on a Rorschach mask.

Yes, weather can affect your mood. It's most pronounced in people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD), where they are depresses in certain seasons.

As for me, I feel the best in spring and autumn when the seasons are changing and there are those warm, balmy days with a light breeze (especially in spring, at least where I live). I just feel empowered and happy when the weather's like that.

YES. Also, the fact that humid, hot weather gives me migraines... :(
