Discuss. Could you get rid of nearly everything you own? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

I'm tired of minimalism.

I could get rid of all my belongings, but really, why would I? Every thing that I own has a purpose, and I use them all. Fuck nick-nacks and impulsive buys that you will never touch.

It seems to me that the point of must-have accessories is that you must have them. And honestly, I try not to get things (instruments excluded from this argument) unless I feel that I need (yes, need) them or that they will be a significant improvement on something that I already have.

And yeah, I dislike minimalism.

Tanner's right, but I love useless things. My friend has an attic full of strange foreign instruments and sculptures and it's really wonderful. Cultural accruement makes me happy.
