They're white cake with this weird magic icing.
Fucking delicious. I have a really old-school recipe from this 1950s cookbook laying around somewhere.

Baklava is a flaky pastry made with nuts and honey. I associate it with Greek culture, although Wikipedia tells me it's big in Southeastern Europe in general. It is perhaps the second most delicious dessert in existence, albeit obviously inferior to lemon meringue pie.

Lemon meringue pie is delicious.
I've had baked alaska once in my life, and I really want to have it again. It sounds delicious, but I can't remember what it tastes like.

Lemon meringue pie has the highest deliciousness to making difficulty ratio of all pies.

Baclava = Tiramisu > Petit Fours
But seriously my grandmother makes these things (petit fours) every year for Christmas, they're not bad.
