I deal with idiots by posting replies to posts about dealing with idiots.

Umm, I just ignore it.

None of you know what an idiot is until you've met a Bermudian.

I know what you mean.
All I do is shun them, ignore them, and care less about them.
Then if they try to do anything in such a way that is idiotic, then it's not my loss or problem.

I'd just try and show him how to do it properly :/

Even if he wasn't new, maybe he was just nervous or having a bad day. Just because of that one incident he's classified as an idiot? I think that situation should have been handled differently.

When I come across an "idiot", I usually ignore them. It works 90% of the time for me. In other situations...well...it's not worth going into.

The trouble is, all of my friends seem to hang around with idiots. It's piss-annoying sometimes, but ya just learn to deal with it. It's not as if theyre all gonna bend to your iron will.

People far below the median IQ bend to my will. If you say 3 witty sentances quickly, they usually blink, studder, and walk away saying "okay". It has worked for me every time, and is a foolproof (no pun intended) way of determining if someone is less intelegent than a brick.

Seriously, the place is stuffed full of people who don't do anything all day but watch stupid videos on YouTube, download cheap ringtones to their cell phone, show off their iPod's and obsess about football.

I usually spin clever insults like rapp or ignore them.

I tend to ignore idiots. However, if they approach me, I'm still happy to help them in whatever way I can.

no he couldnt. however, it comes of as kinda pathetic when he does it. dave has some kind of flair that makes it work i suppose. and isnt 14 going on 6.

Idiot's to me are the people who annoy you, and when try to return fire, they're just like 'Huh?'. Mail because I have such an exstensive vocabulary, they don't even understand what I say! But then they just continue annoying you, so I just ignore them.

I either ignore them or insult them, depending on which will get a better reaction out of the person.

I try to help out if they are just not smart, but there is a difference between being dumb and being an idiot.
