Egg Nog

I love egg nog, but sadly it only seems to be widely available during the holidays :(

It's good for a cup or two, otherwise I can't get the taste out of my mouth, then it ruins my appetite afterwards.
But still, absolutely delicious for the while it lasts.

yea, its one of those things you cant overdo. The opposite of that is banana tea cake cookies. if you ever get 3 dozen of them, mail them to me.

Can't stand the stuff. I've tried drinking it on multiple occasions over the years, but I can never finish a glass.
Purely hypothetically, I might be more inclined to drink egg nog with some schnapps mixed in.

Bourbon or--peculiarly--rice wine would really do the trick. Or, of course, rum. But I say go for bourbon. Unless you're a largetime fan of Schnapps, I'd advise against it. Schnapps is essentially Everclear and fruit flavoring and it'd probably throw off the nog taste with an invasive sweetness.
If I post my egg nog recipe come this holiday season and you fancy yourself a drinker, give it a try. It has an above average taste and a non-spinny drunk.

I've never tried egg nog. I understand that in the barbarous lands beyond the ocean, it is traditionally supped during some heathen winter festival.

Dave: My memory appears to be completely dysfunctional at the moment, such that I don't remember whether my 21st birthday is before or after the holiday. If it is before, then I will definitely try your egg nog mix.
You take a sip first, though.

IT CAME OUT IN CHUNKS
CHUNKS
I wanted to vomit.
But I still think the stuff is delicious!
(I didn't consume the chunks, instead I shoved them down the drain)

I actually have this theory about improving a drink. Here's the step-by-step:
1) Does the beverage contain more than one mixer? If yes, go to #2, otherwise go to #5.
2) Proceed down the list of ingredients:
3) If this ingredient is vodka, go to #2.
4) Remove this mixer from the ingredients, and replace it with an equal volume of vodka. Go back to #1.
5) Consume your superior beverage.
