Met some awesome people, learnt a bit about not taking things too seriously, learnt a lot about spriting, imaging and comic-making, constructing coherent plots, use readable fonts, keep your ninjas on the ground, etc. The ways of the internet, maturity, stuff like that. I've learned not to to whine too much, too (still trying).

Also, thanks to the scrutiny of the many fine males here I may have started drawing actual feminine-looking girls. You have not seen them yet. Maybe later.

I also have Metanet to credit for my change from Christian to theist agnostic.

On another note, Metanet has provided me with people to talk to. Back in middle school I was talkative to an extremely annoying degree, not because I necessarily had a lot to say, but because I wanted to speak my mind instead of keeping my thoughts all bottled up in my head. Metanet's provided me with a place (particularly on IRC) to hang out and get all that out of my system, and now I'm one of the quiet kids in my classes and not considered an annoying guy by people who know me in real life. It sounds minor, but it's really made a big difference. Thanks guys :3

PROTIP: "Christian" and "agnostic theist" are not mutually exclusive.
In fact, some people believe that agnostic theism is "proper" Christianity, since the focus of it is faith. So saying something like, "I used to be a Christian but am now an agnostic theist", is like saying, "I used to eat steak, but now I eat meat."

Mm. Fair enough, but I mean them in different contexts. I'd consider myself an agnostic; I certainly lean toward the theist side, but not enough to actually call myself a theist.

Okay, sure. My point was simply that becoming an agnostic theist is not enough to exclude you from being a Christian, as it's a broader category which overlaps with Christianity. You can of course be an agnostic theist who is a non-denominational Christian, or some kind of Deist or something.

Made me feel better about myself and be more comfortable around people I don't know well. That is a skill I really lacked, and would never gain by not being here. I also managed to avoid depression and angst at a time when my personal life was rather lacking.

Also, a large amount of nostalgia. That's always nice.

Well isn't your name just purdy!

I second that emotion, also.
