This seems to be a server side issue, with numerous members like myself and others. So here's an example of what's been happening. You'd not receive messages for a long period of time, proceed to disconnect and reconnect and normality is restored for a short period of time. It may appear that your messages are being sent, when they are not.

There's an example.

I've never been timed out by an issue that wasn't on my end; we should figure out what's in common about the internet connections of these users that's causing the issue. I.E. Same providers, certain firewalls, ports forwarded, etc.

I have just adjusted my connection to a wired connection rather than wireless, so we will see if this is the issue.

Also it appears that those were different clients, because I know I was using Chatzilla, while others were using mIRC. I've changed over to mIRC now.

I also have never had a problem maintaining a connection. I doubt very much that it is a server-side issue.

Same. If it was a server-side error it is likely that everyone would be feeling the effects - like how everyone gets disconnected with a Netsplit.
My guess is the connection. It could be dodgy because of wireless, maybe.

Anyway, I haven't found it since changing clients and connection, so this thread is lockable.

If there is a big red blinking sign saying, "Here, you dumbass", then could someone please kindly point me in the direction of that sign? Or just reproduce what said sign dictates.

Thanks a bundle.
Here, you dumbass
Ehehe, couldn't resist. Sorry.
These two threads should tell you everything you need to know about irc: http://forum.therealn.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1994 and http://forum.therealn.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2631.
Hope this helps!
