it's not really a playable demo, just demonstrating different aspects of the game. That last one was for the purpose of illustrating easing and a rotating camera.. click the screen and use the arrow keys and shift/ctrl/capslock/numlock

for the record, please dont use numlock again. some laptops dont have a numlock key. also, would increasing the gravity help somewhat to reduce the need for infinite friction? blah whatever, good to see another demo.

Sorry. Do laptops have scroll-lock? (It's just convenient to have a toggle). If you don't have infinite friction, you will slide a little on a moving/spinning planet, the gravity doesn't matter. I have ideas though, although the rebuild of the system might take a while.

run along the planet (the circle) by pressing the arrow keys, in order to observe the rotation code (which you toggle with CAPS), and the easing code (which you toggle with NUM)

the camera is centered to the black circle (player). I have no idea why the grey circle would get bigger. The demo wasn't particularly important, forget it (so long as you can see the others)

Looking on the python site, there are 3 or 4 active development branches (2.4.x, 2.5.x, 2.6.x, 3.0), should I use any particular one (I'm guessing most of the stuff is going to be the same between them)

2.4 and 2.5 would only be maintained for legacy bug-fix purposes. 3.0 is a significant change from previous versions which breaks backwards compatibility. Starting from scratch, I'd suggest going with 3.0, but it's quite possible you'll be using third-party modules that need 2.6.

LV specified 2.5 earlier in the topic. Related to pygame I think

why is this all the way down on page 5 of my unread topics?
my laptop has no scroll lock either, possible to use any other key? say, "hit y, does this, hit y again, this stops"?

whatever, it's all easy, it just saves me a few seconds to use a lock key. I'll make future stuff with letter keys or something instead. Although I haven't really been doing anything recently, what with holidays and my own project and stuff.

Right, so im interested in getting this off the ground again, and as such will be using the love2d engine to save a million times from being wasted (especially as i prefer lua to python any day), and construct some sort of prototype for this. however, i likely wont get anything done for a while as im just about to go into exams (though, knowing me, i might just ignore the mounting pressure after this coming friday for a week and do this). just a heads up, sorry for ramblyness.
i just think its a shame it died so quickly.

I'm pretty sure it stalled the first time due to an excessively high cook:broth ratio.

I'm too lazy to look at all of them, could someone give me a run-down on what the game is going to be, and when it will probably be finished?

If I'm correct, It's a sci-fi platformer game where you control 3 characters. These 3 characters have different skills that overcome certain obstacles, like one can fly, one can jump, one can walljump etc. You can jump from one planet to another using its gravity.
