First, unless you haven't done that already, get a dictator, er I mean, editor in chief. Presumably GTM. You definitely want some serious hierarchy here, communism is no way to work this kind of thing. If everyone answers to one person, then at least someone will have an over view of what's going on without having to play 'he said she said'.

Second, limit the number of people you've got doing stuff; it's all well and good to have man power, but the more man power you have, the more chances you've got of issues lagging thanks to one unreliable member. I would imagine you should get exactly the number of people you need to get an issue out, and then one, or two, or five people who will cover disappearances if the cover is needed, but who don't work on it issue by issue.

I hope that made sense. So yeah, hard, fast dictatorship is what I recommend.
True. Dictator I shall be (because otherwise we'd have too many reviewers).

Unfortunately, looks like GTM won't be working on the NNN for a while. I'll speak to him either tomorrow or Thursday, but looks like me and ChrisE will be running this thing...

I guess this means I'll be making the PDF.

Get all the stuff compiled then PM it to me, Drathmoore. I'll hit out a .pdf file. ;D

I'd be fine with Drathmoore taking over my roles. He knows his stuff, and we can also get on msn if something needs resolving. I'll be able to help you out with ideas and images, but I won't have time to update the website or anything.

So don't think I'm completely detached from this. I just don't think I could spend a massive amount of time on this atm.

I can help by doing interviews as well. Unless 2 interviewers are to many. :/

I can scope out maps for that section, and would be glad to be interviewed.

Hmm. I'm thinking that two interviews per issue may be a bit too much. So, you might have to alternate with 29, or possibly do a joint interview if you can. I'd recommend an IM or another channel on IRC. Something like #interviews, or just using the #nnn channel.

BionicCryonic wrote:I can scope out maps for that section, and would be glad to be interviewed.
Okay. Scoping out maps could prove useful, dependant on whether the reviewists have set maps in their minds or not. As for the interviewing, I'll leave the choice up to the interviewers.

I also call for a "quotes of the week" addition. If the title doesn't give it away, members of the team pick out their favourite quotes. Mainly from #n, but they don't nessecarily have to be from there.

I'll gladly check spelling, Grammar, and proper use of words. I wouldn't mind being interviewed, either.

May I recomend ChaoStar be bumped up the interviewing roster then (if there even is one...).

Nothing to do with Arstar or anything... <.<, >.>

(Drathmoore here. Hijacking Matt's computer)

In my honest opinion, it's very good. But, it's a bit too short, if you ask me. We might want to add another interview on if this is going in the issue.

I am also proud to announce that Matt completely backs my running of this. My qualifications for this? A hat.

That good enough for you?

Back to business, I'm unsure of what to do with the website. Yes, we've got the ability to upload the issues there, but what else? Breaking news, puzzles/games... Anymore suggestions. (I would read out what we've got on the website currently, but... I don't have the address).

Update: Right. I say we get to work then. I want to get the issue out by the end of the month at the very latest, and so I'll send out pms to get some stuff for it. We have Bio's interview with Aperture, and I have a copy of "Noob Reviews" somewhere, but that's not going to fill an entire issue.

I don't know how the timescale works exactly yet, but a few issues in we'll have that covered. I'm thinking a fortnight per issue, but I'll wait until I know for certain how long each issue will take.

As for sending the stuff, send anything that will be entered into the issue to ChaoStar. ChaoStar will do some editting magic, and send them to me. I'll sort out the issue, do some final checks, etc, and send them to Flight.

Further Update: Working on the Website now: http://nnews.tk/

The password has been changed, so anyone needed to edit anything on the site PM me for it.

You've got a job list? I'm up for doing anything, but the problem is, I don't know what....

Anyways, we'll have to edit the "Meet the Team" page, or we'll look like a bunch of idiots....
:)

And, is it going to be a problem that I'm just 14? Because if it is, I'll just warp into the future and be 45.

3rd edit by now -.-':
Wait! I found something! Are we still doing the caption contest thing?

That edit button is toast by now:
I'm not going to wear that hat to stay in this.... I'm too much of an idiot too where such a hat.
It would blow people's brains all over the walls...

After reading some of the other threads, it appears something like 3 a week would be in the right mindset, as long as they're varying maps. Any more can go on the website.

This excludes titles such as map of the week.

Speaking of reviews... This is one I did a while back... The backgrounds and layout etc aren't finished, but the actual review is, so I might as well load it here for people to look at. If it goes well I might do some more for the website...

Community headlines: Depends. I can do them if I get the info, and I'm sure ChaoStar could update us on the MoA (thats a 'could', so don't get your hopes up about that).

Contest Headlines: Eyyyeh.... I'll have to spend more time in the N mapping threads, but anyone else who has the information could help.

All you need to do to edit them is log onto the website in the website builder and simply post it. I don't mind giving out the details to members of the team, so anyone can technically update them.

Yeah, how could I, as a person, edit the site. You said something about a password, how does all this stuff work?
I'm sorry for all these questions, I just need to get this sorted...

No problems with the questions; everbody has to learn somehow. Also, it means that anyone wondering the same things can just look here.

Right. To edit the website, you need to go to http://www.webs.com, and login as the NNN. I'll send you the details, and for anyone else reading that's part of the team, just pm me and I'll send you the details. For anyone from the old team, the password has been changed since.
