This video includes an interview with Mare and Raigan about N++ while they're playing it, I figured you guys might be interested :)
Note: Sorry if I am breaking any forum rules, I am new here..

The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwuP7aTRS6U

thanks for that, its news to me. So they have put new enemies in, I think they are awesome even though they dont make that much sense I think. Although that drone that follows you slowly but in the same way as a rocket, I think was rightly described jokingly as cute..

Your maps are very much appreciated Johan =) I normally use this forum to just talk about userlevels.. Did you have a NUMA account? I wonder what the first map(s) you ever made was

No problem.
Yeah, new enemies and I also like those new color schemes, it gives the game a fresh look :)
I'm definitely excited for the release haha x)

-though its not quite a colour slider that Phurix envisioned (in a msg map).

The thing I love about your race maps btw is that they have a lot of open space -which is good for flying through, yet they seem full (look good and gameplay clever). For me it was one of the biggest wow factors in N when you brought out your first race maps

I know that, and no I don't have a NUMA account (yet). I'll look into it right now.
The reason why I didn't respond to that is because James edited his comment.

Great to hear that, I feel flattered haha
I'll probably continue the "Speedtest" series soon :)

Man, M&R have really grown up and become quite the professional pair.
  • Toggle mines are amazingly brilliant and innovative.
  • The new rocket trails are pretty, but maybe superfluous.
  • I like the shadow ninja, but they're gonna get abused to all hell.
  • Damn sexy laser.
  • It's nice to watch M&R play together.
I wouldn't call myself psyched, but I'm intrigued.

Also, no fall damage for bounceblocks is either awesome or unfortunate.

Yea that was a good interview they gave.
Reg. the ghost ninjas, when they encounter a block gate that is activated some time after the real ninja passed, I guess they would be blocked by it/ put off their course. That could make some funky gameplay in a user level..

anyone know when NUMA will be usable again? Who would be fixing it? M&R?

The user who designed NUMA, Arachnid (Nick Johnson), is an employee of Google, and NUMA is mostly hosted on Google's servers. So occasionally the quota allotted to NUMA is filled, and it goes down for several days. Nick has never really gotten around to fixing this error, and all we can do is wait until the quota is emptied/lower. It sucks, but all we can do is wait. Might I suggest playing some mappacks?

Ok, so 'map packs' are just text files with map data to copy out from? They don't automatically play like episodes right? And I cant see map numbers so its not possible to see other people's runs etc?

Am I supposed to just copy the code, click watch replay and play? -because then the kill function is disabled and that cant be right can it? Can someone pleaseee explain me one time how to use map packs

(btw I did click the 'download from packs' button and saw previews of maps)

1.) Download and save the text file.
2.) Change its name to "userlevels"
3.) Put the file into your NReality folder(You use NReality? Because I don't know how it works without NReality).
4.) Open NReality and click on "user levels". The maps from the mappack should appear as a list there.

I hope this helps.

Same thing. Just rename the text file as "userlevels".
