It will happen on June 5 to June 6 in 2012, and the next one will be in 2117.

This map shows where it will be visible from:

Anyone planning on going on a short holiday to view this solar irregularity?

Sometimes I figure out what I'm going to have for supper before two in the afternoon. I can't imagine planning two years in advance.

Man, couple days earlier and it could be a birthday treat. Even if it was, I wouldn't plan for it the day before it happened, much less four years in advance. Maybe I'm just not that interested in astronomy.

I would probably be forgetting about such an event.
It would still be neat to see, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to see it.

Yes, I can see the whole thing!

Is this when the supposed 'apocalypse' is going to happen? Either way, it would be great to see it.

Nah, the new era is ushered in during december 2012.

And for those who barely see it, You might need a whole 3 years to save up and organise it...I totally get to see it all day. :D

I'm going to get some great photos! :)

According to that graph I'll be able to see it perfectly from Eastern Australia, so I'll probably be right outside my house.

Looks like I'll be able to see it from where I am, assuming I'm still in South Australia in 2012, which I hope is a big assumption.

I think I'll be in front of computer, waiting for it to get uploaded on YouTube. Actually, the transit will be visible at sunrise... anyway, does this really looks that spectacular?
