Metanet Forums

I don't think any of you guys remembered, but on this day five years ago (or thereabouts), the Metanet forums were created. Of course, it was led by Keron at the time, but that one single action has spawned such an amazing community. It has been half a decade later, and we're still going strong.

I think that it's only Keron, Mare and Raigan who remember what it was like 5 years ago; from memory, Tsukatu is the oldest active member here, and he's been on the Metanet Forums, what, 4 years I think?

But yeah, happy anniversary Metanet! We need to do something for it next year.

Extremely relevant considering you guys' odd popespeak, Pope Jean-Paul II (Or whatever the last Pope who died's name was.) died on our first anniversary. *shrug*

Though with the amount of times that he has left and then returned, it almost a daily occurrence for blizz to leave the forums now.

Dave, if you count NUMA. But we don't.

There are a few other that you could count if we were counting numa, such as Arachnid, although I've not heard from him in a while.

What about 87654321? He said he joined a week before Kablizzy. Did he mean on this forum then?

87654321 is Pavel, and Pavel is 87654321.

It seems many of the older users have changed their usernames. I can never picture atob as Wilderness :(

Wait, Pavel joined before you but he isn't an admin?

Haha. Pavel is probably one of the oldest serving members yes, and this question has come up time and time again over the years. Being here for a long time is not a sole reason to be a mod though.

I was glassdanse on NUMA, then astheoceansblue.

I was Pariah on the forums, then Wilderness.

I remember one of my first experiences of the Metanet community was arguing with Le Blizz about who had it worse.

It was my four year anniversary a week before this topic was made.
