I was looking across the N wiki when I realized that the thing is inconsistent, unfinished and out of date when it comes to various people. This made me wonder... who would be considered a 'notable member' by the community?

EDIT: If you are interested in assisting me, PM me a list of people whom you would consider 'notable.' For the interested, it is a project which I would like to use in my comic, The .sol of N.

Note: Sending a message implies that neither you nor the persons on your list will be placed in it, unless I specifically ask you for permission to do so.

The list used to be public but thanks to Tsukatu and GW, I now feel that having a public display board was detrimental to the community as a whole.

If you have posted here previous to this change, please do the entire community a favor and edit your posts to nothing. Tsukatu, I will make an exception for that post. Please keep it up.

If he were, there'd only be five names on it. Think about it. Who are the five hottest rappers of all time? Dylan, Dylan... Dylan, Dylan, and Dylan. Because I spit hot fire.

I didn't make the list? ;_;

Nah, kidding.

For highscorers, you forgot Meta_Ing, Life247, and mam.

For mappers, well, you forgot a lot of people. Can't list all of them ATM.

I think having a lot of people on the notable list would defeat its "notableness."

I nominate myself based upon general seniority of mapmaking, Sidestreet210, consistently assisting the mods (mainly reported to LV, I believe) for a good year with finding members who's posts contained rule-breaking materials or who's profile elements were against the rules (always to the "news" of the mods I reported to), and my general community involvement.

I also nominate uNcoNditioNal for having mapmaking quality on such a consistent level since his first map, his community involvement over his time at the old forums, and his participation in community events.

In continuation, I nominate Spawn of Yanni for his with with TROB, his community involvement, his event involvement, and his history of mapmaking.

What, nobody remembers me? That does it. I'm leaving the community forever and deleting all my maps. Then coming back with six different accounts, sniping a few people, getting caught, apologising, spreading rumours that I'm female, denying rumours that I'm female, leaving again, coming back under a different name, then dramatically revealing who I am. Only not, because everyone will already have guessed it because I'm so damn memorable.

COMMUNITY: Arachnid seconded, along with Unreality.

Question: If your including DDA makers, does that mean your including N-art makers?

If so, Mrgy05, LordOfPeanuts, and ]{NO3.

I could be wrong, but I believe that's "Zeta"... because it starts with the letter "Z", which is further along than "O".
*cough* But of course I know that "Zeta" isn't the end. *cough* [/edit]

Well sorry to disappoint you, but zeta is the equivalent to f (well the sixth letter of the greek alphabet) ... Omega is at the "end"...

Meta_Ing and Life247? Really? Not to say they are bad or anything, but I think to fit the criteria of a highscorer, you should at least have a highscore =p

I think the big highscorer you left out is lookatthis who is among the top 3 in the world. He currently holds the second most highscores with 587/600 and third most 0ths, with 87. I also nominate hendor, who once had the most highscores in the world, which was 598/600.

Christ, man, I don't even know where to begin.
YES.
To both. Very both.
I just... *sigh* I don't understand what you think is going to happen here. You must be at least that minimal amount of self-aware.
I don't know what you expect me to say, either. You just have to start taking care of yourself, Ats. Stop feeding all those chins, maybe. Spend a few evenings sober for a change. Bathe. Christ...

Look, I'm going to stop before I feel any more guilty than I do now. I think the main lesson you want to walk away from here is that the problem is you. It's you, and it's not any of us.
Okay, I'm sorry, I'm done now. No, don't cry... ah damnit... look, I'm sorry, but what's done is done, okay? I can't take any of it back. I wouldn't even if I could - you need to hear this, Atilla.

I shouldn't have even gotten involved...
*sigh*
Someone give him a goddamn tissue.

If Meta_Ing should be on the highscorer list, I should be on it too.

He's looking for the best. I believe lookatthis and ska should be on the list.

You should also make an image-makers category.

apg, as well as being a pretty highly-rated mapmaker - with a featured map, as well - was a much loved member of the community way back when. He was awarded "cutest new member" (or something) award by blue_tetris just a couple of months (or something) after joining the forums, and was a very well known name on the IRC. He also has the whole mysterious disappearance thing to his name. I'd -definitely- consider him notable, certainly more so than some of the names you have on your list.
