Another problem is the userlevels. How would you make them?

Wouldn't that be not so difficult to implement with the touchscreen?Rhekatou wrote:Another problem is the userlevels. How would you make them?
I'm not sure if the iTouch would be able to run it smoothly and with a good enough resolution, but considering that there's N+ for the DS, I think it could work, though I'm not sure if the result would be worth the effort.

I second that, though I also agree that it would be pretty cool. It would just be a bit hard to see with only one screen.29403 wrote:To be honest it would be uncomfortable pushing buttons that are so close to each other every few milliseconds, and could get very tiring.

the control-feeling is very good and easy.
I doesn't think that an Editor is manageable but i hope you will be able to load maps from NUMA ( http://nmaps.net ) or add some levels by connecting the ipod with the pc.
For the overview:
e.g.: a minimap in one corner and the Rest is hightened and zoom in on the ninja.

Cool app,but they can make the game simpler, and with more basic controls, otherwise it would be insanely hard to control it.SlappyMcGee wrote:Nobody is saying this will replace N. It would just be a cool app.

Let's only make the ninja move only left and right. Oh, and let's have floorguards as the only enemy.Tunco123 wrote:but they can make the game simpler, and with more basic controls

Editing maps may become a bit sticky because of finger movement (the only reason I don't want an iTouch is because it doesn't have a stylus/stylus attachment with it, and my fingers are very clumsy. I mean, yeah, pressing the occasional button is easy, but when you need very detailed results, It's just not good, like, oh, say, the DS version. *cough*).
Userlevels will be ridiculously difficult to copy and paste due to my previous point, and I have no idea how you could save said levels (unless it's done like on the console versions, then that would solve everything).
All in all, it's a pretty difficult concept to try and do, but if done correctly, I think it could cause some awesome things to happen.

Yeah, but the controls weren't on top of the screen.Gforce wrote:For those saying that it would be hard to see the screen, remember that N+ managed to succeed on the PSP and DS.

Then why not use the previously suggested idea of tilting the screen to move?Donfuy wrote:Yeah, but the controls weren't on top of the screen.Gforce wrote:For those saying that it would be hard to see the screen, remember that N+ managed to succeed on the PSP and DS.

It would be exteremely hard to do tilesets.seven_two wrote:You know, you might draw tilesets with your finger and NED will choose tiles that best fit the shape you've drawn. Objects can be dragged into the map from a palette.
Instead of that, when you are in ned, ned would slice map into squares, and when you touch a square, it would show you the tilesets you can put there. And just click the tileset you want to make it.
