Okay, basically I left the team at nnn for a few weeks or so, catching up with exams and what not. Now they're finished (woot) I decided to pop back in - and ChrisE's practically the only one still working on it.
So, if you want to help get this back on it's feet, sign up. There's only a few requirements.
> Some knowledge of editing wordpress sites would be lovely, but if we can't get enough people who can, we can switch back to our old domain. If incluye could help us out on the front (the new domain is up and running, although as I said, hardly active at all) that'd be great.
> A colourful, inventive personality. We don't want the chief editing from the Bland-And-Monotonous-Times, for example.
> A pretty decent standard of spelling and grammar. Self-explanatory for a news-site, really.
> And, most importantly.
The ability to commit to this.
If you have an urge just because I've mentioned, but you can't see yourself doing this on a regular basis, don't bother applying. That's what's got us in this mess in the first place.
Just apply on this thread if you want a position, and we'll go through the details about passwords and stuff then. If no-one or hardly anyone wants to do this, me and ChrisE will probably close nnn. Not much point of its just two people, am I right?
If someone wants to post just one article, feature or headlines, PM it to me and I'll make sure it works its way in if I think it's good enough for the nnn
Team so far:
> GTM
> ChrisE
> Squibbles
> Drathmoore
> Flagmyidol
> Yungerkid
> Blackson
> Tunco
> Techno

If you guys are still doing the maps of the week/featured map of the week thing, I can both bring maps to your attention and possibly write a few sentences about them if you want.

Seeing as I'm facing a long, long, boring Summer post-Monday, I'm sure I could lend a hand.

That's fine. I'll add this to the first post.

It shouldn't. It's a news-site, and needs to maintain not only a facade of professionalism, but readability as well. if i wer 2 hv riten th hol post lik ths i dont thnk ppl wud wnt 2 reed it. In fact, kudos if you deciphered that bastardization of the English language.Tunco123 wrote:That really pisses me off this.GTM wrote: > A pretty decent standard of spelling and grammar. I would love to, but I'm leaving in three weeks for camp... if you can use me for that long, I'll gladly do some stuff, but don't count on me long-term until after August 22nd.

Right, we have a couple of new ideas for NNN, so expect some new ingredients added to the wholesome Cake that is NNN.

GTM, are you going to be sending PMs about this? I'll do whatever you assign me (or whoever's in charge of this), at least for now.

Right, so far we've got this as a more or less dedicated team.

> ChrisE
> Squibbles

We'll need about twice as many if we're going to get this going weekly, and possibly more if we're doing constant updates. I'll decide as to whether the team's big enough by 8th July, as I've got a lot of other stuff coming up in the meantime, and i can't put a lot of time into this tbh.

Ok, I thought about this in the past few days, and I'll join. And GTM, will we use the channel on mIRC, when we started it?

Another thing I thought of: I noticed /a lot/ of grammar errors in the couple of issues that came out. I can proofread too, I guess.

It's more of a news report to do with N than anything else. However, it's not my say on whether or not that's alright, it's more up to GTM and ChrisE.natrues peril wrote:i could review music as i listen to all/most types most of the day

I really liked the PDF format that Pawz used when he did that one issue. It was really convenient and portable. And a little easier to archive.
My two cents.

Mmmm? When was this? A link would be nice.Techno wrote:I really liked the PDF format that Pawz used when he did that one issue. It was really convenient and portable. And a little easier to archive.

I'd probably agree, but rght now the main concern is finding a team that'll stick with this even when we do change domain.

Which domain are we using, by the way. Old or new? The old one seems better to me, in my opinion.GTM wrote: I'd probably agree, but rght now the main concern is finding a team that'll stick with this even when we do change domain.

Old. No-one can figure out how to use the new one, and it's sturdy enough for most things. Except archiving.

Why not, as Techno said, create each issue as a .PDF, and link it to the site. Walla! Archive.GTM wrote:Old. No-one can figure out how to use the new one, and it's sturdy enough for most things. Except archiving.
Also, on the theme of .PDF, I suggest we do usual updates, and cobble them together into the issues. Either that, or we could do Podcasts...
Joke.

I'd like to add that Commander had a leading role in that too, not just Pawz. Look at the first (and only) issue we had. Something like that again would be amazing. :D
