Remember that first day you entered #n?

Tell how the first reactions talking were... or something in the lines of that!

I remember, probably 1.5/2 years ago, me entering IRC, and someone asking who I were:

guy: Who are you?
Donfuy: Someone.
guy: ORLY?

That's all I can remember. As you can see, very exciting and social stuff.

(btw, if someone think he's the guy there, please tell me, so I can properly apologize)

My first day. I was named Setsu, and Skyline peer-pressured me into making a map.

a few months ago

i was like "oh, so this is irc"
and someone was like "EGANIC"
and i was like "hey"

i think it was PNI. might've been someone else.

props to Hoohah for sending me a link to it that worked.

I was shocked at the ratio of sex jokes to normal conversation. I figured it was at least 1:1. Maybe 1.5:1.

Then again, everything seems like a sex joke when you're in middle school. Or maybe I've just been desensitized. Also, I spell better now.

It was my first time on the IRC and I was just testing out smilies and which ones would show up as images.

Ahaha. I remember that. TS said that if I should have a dog, I should call it K-9. High-larious!

I remember opening IRC about a year ago. I didn't realize that it disappeared when I minimized it so I opened it again. I was logged on as my alternative (Izzy7), and miyoser and Pawz were there getting me to register my nick. Kabloxy was there too.

The first day I was on, the only other dudes that were active were rocket_thumped, blue_tetris, and KA. I made a comment about how robots are designed poorly, and that the main computer parts should not be in the head (an obvious attack point) but rather, in the scrote. Dave agreed, then we all made fun of r_t for being a stoner. Good times! ^.^

Aw, man! I remember the first day *I* was on IRC! It was way back when we *CREATED* the IRC. LV and I set up our own server, and we found out that Arachnid and Lucidium already had one, so we merged the two, KA jumped in, and for the first day or so, it was just us five, I believe. And the rest is history. ^_^

I remember that sidke and someone else (I think it was gloomp) helped me find an irc server and connect (of course, it was mibbit D:<). When I first got onto #n, the first thing that was said was "maxson!" and then gloomp invited me into #moa. Then after about a month I got mIRC, and now I'm on irc at least 3-4 hours a day, usually more like 8 hours (though not much of it is spent in #n).

I don't really remember. I'm pretty sure the first time I went on irc was to collab with southpaw.

First time I was on #n there was one Idler and it was me. I said "hello" into the darkness and recoiled from the sound of my own voice, echoing and distorted off the empty walls.

But seriously. Can someone please give me the optimal time to go on IRC? I've never met another person there. Ever.

I have a text-file of part of my first time saved somewhere, but it doesn't have the first few lines. However, I do remember what the first few lines were, more or less. mintnut changed to TOPMANnut and linked to some really cool shirt he was wearing. I said it was awesome, he said he was wearing it, and I shouted, "YOUR AN AWESOME."

Yeeeeeaaaaaah. :/

Ahahaha. Kinda. I think Dave and KA pioneered the voice-chat movement, and LV and I followed suit there also.

I logged on, said hi, and about 2 people recognized me.

Huh? No-one's on? Try connecting to the mountai.net server not the old waypasteleven. Also if #n isn't alive #moa always has lively conversation or #n-highscores.

I distinctly remember you losers trying to set up a Skype chatroom before I started up a Vent server and had y'all download the client.
Then the server moved around a lot.
