Right. This is the start of the new NNN, which will be done in the format more similar to a blog than a news website. Instead of reporting on various aspects of N and it's community, we'll be giving our opinions on these aspects. Things like Maps of the Week may remain; if someone wants to post about how brilliant a map is, they can go ahead.

The basis of the blog is that it's a community blog. As with the NNN, /anyone/ can take part if they feel they can commit to this. For now, we'll be using the Metanet Informer Blog on Wordpress.com. I personally shall be doing audio blogcasts, which can be done either solo, or people can take part via a Vent session, etc. But that doesn't mean all blogs have to be done like this. Text blogs, video blogs, etc. Do whatever you like.

So, onto another point. How I would like to do some of the blogs is to have members of the community to ask questions, and that we'll give our views on them. Say like: "What did you think of the 180000 fiasco?" or "Do you think there are too many spambots on the forums?", etc.

So, who would like to take part, and do we have anybody who wants to ask any questions?

I fully support this. Though, I think we need a new domain and audio recordings should be done on vent, not bye a single person. I think we could use wordpress as a new domain. Though, who is in the team now, because team is screwed up, imo. We should have d one it this way so far.

We actively do this just by discussing on Ventrilo.

You could publish a password to everyone, so they can write news. If the situation goes wild, just change it and do it like you previously intended. What do you think?

It works a little differently from that...

Post a comment on the blog, saying that you want to add stuff, and I'll add you as a contributor. On wordpress, there's no definitive "sign in and edit" sort of thing; you just log into your own account and add stuff.

That is the prefered format, but a few members can't use Vent specifically, so I'm going to leave the option open.

Also, Blogcast 1 is up, going off of CS's question. Which I went off to cat facts, due to the fact that there is little to comment on specifically.

Actually, yeah. The same thing that you people do on a normal podcast. But instead, we will only talk about news -which I don't think we will- unlike Metanet Podcasts. Though, we have a team here.

Also, Weisslenny0? It's basically a group of us giving our opinions on things in the community. It may be news, or just questions people have asked in this thread (I.e. The cats blog). Just a bit of fun on Vent, really.

It would be cool if you start hosting your podcasts on some site from where I'd play it from my browser, like Lenny did.

Right, sorry for the recent hiatus guys; work, homework, lack of co-operation from GTM (you lazy git...).

But rest assured, we will have a new one soon. I'm planning the basis on the Community Webcomics, so we should be discussing various comics on the forums. For example, U and GTM's Musings, perhaps a little bit of U-Turn. Once that's out of the way, I expect a little on A Small Bit of Code, The Land of Rape and Honey, and perhaps a few others. If you want your comic to be mentioned (or, on the flipside, you don't want your comic to be talked about), then PM me, and you'll probably get in.

I will be sending PMs around to the owners of the comics being discussed hopefully in the next few days, so... Keep a look out.

Haha, Shaun, you could always try making one on your own. I mean, if I don't have any expertise to add on a matter (like webcomics, for instance) you'd probably be better off planning one on your own.

Nice idea getting this running again, but maybe a Twitter account might be good too?
