Currently, Exüberance has another contest in progress. Why not check it out?

Caption Contest Weeks 1 - 55 can be found on the old forums here. This topic is week 56 onwards... OR
View an archive of all the past week images and winning captions here. (thanks to player_03 for that)

[The Caption Contest: Seasons 1, 2, and 3]

The current record for number of entries is 40 set on Week 021
The current record for number of entrants is 20 set on Week 044

Text in green are my comments- they are not part of the caption

Yeah, It's a caption contest. Every Saturday I will post a picture, and you will think of a caption to go with it. The point is to come up with the funniest caption relevant to the picture.

Note: Offensive Language of any kind will be censored or replaced with a different word

You can enter a caption into the contest at any time. You do NOT have to have participated in the contest previously to enter. Anyone and everyone can enter up to 3 captions per week.

PLEASE DO NOT POST [CAPTIONS] IN THE THREAD*. Instead, PM me any caption you think of. From now on, no captions in posts will be accepted./b] You are limited to 3 captions per picture. If you have 3 captions, but you come up with another one, you can replace one of your old ones with the new one. Every Saturday I will post the picture and the 3 best captions, and I will update the picture in this post with the latest picture.

Also, I will post ALL submitted captions on this post when I'm online, and then clear them when the next picture is put up. I may choose to keep more than 3 captions on a picture if a get a lot of good ones.

*You can still post comments and suggestions, just don't post captions- even if you're going to post anyways.

Any captions I submit cannot win or place because I'm the only judge. I'll still think of them though!! (sometimes)

1st place captions will win a sig tag :D
The sig tag will look different every week.
NOTE: I haven't been making them for a while, but other kind people have made some of them for me. Thank you!
For this season (3), I'm making a group of sigtags that form an image when put together. Collect all the pieces to "win the season" [You will always get the next image fragment you need, you'll never get doubles]
(You don't actually have to put the sigtags in your signature to win or anything)
These sigtags haven't been made yet, but they will be soon. (definition of soon in terms of a procrastinator: Time it will be done is an element of [0, +Infinity) )

This week's video-game theme: Assassin's Creed
/*
Exüberance's mini-review:
This game came out a while ago, but I borrowed it from a friend recently. Fully exploreable, play it how YOU want to play it. Be stealthy and run, or stand and fight. Your choice. Either way, it's a great gameplay experience. I prefer to be subtle sometimes, but 90% of the time, I fight to the death instead of running and hiding. It has very few graphical glitches, and I only found 1 3 (EDIT: OK, it can be glitchy at times) gameplay glitch and it made me restart the game, but no game is perfect. I love how you can toss guards into stands, collapsing the stand and crushing everyone under it. Best game I've played in a while. Some people say the game is too repetetive, but I didn't find it that repetetive at all. If you don't like doing the investigations, you can only do 3 of the 6 and that's fine. They don't take long to do anyways and you get to have fun throwing knives at archers and saving citizens from guards who decide the best idea is to accidentally kill their teammates. (yes, that happens every once and a while and they CAN hurt- and even kill- each other). The actual assassinations give different scenarios every time and it doesn't get old very fast. I only stealth assassinated 2 of my assassination targets. I've killed most of them in a sword fight, which is generally easier, and sometimes required, but it's however you prefer to do it. (Though you can't take out a target with throwing knives for gameplay reasons)
*/

My rating: (1-5... 0 or 6 in epic cases)
Gameplay: 6 //epic win!
Graphics: 5 //Even though there's lots of 3D model animation, there's few graphical glitches I've encountered, and the quality is great.
Story: 4 //Now that I've actually completed the game, the story get's pretty good, but it's more the gameplay that makes the end of the game great than it is the story
Multiplayer: n/a //though that would be awesome, it's got no muliplayer
Replay Value: 2.5 //not that great for replay value, but it's still fun to mess around in
Overall: 5 //5aveasized!

You might want to be careful when you say that.

I know. Infinite loop. That's the point.

I call it Infinite Induction (hoo-ray for alliteration)

EDIT: For those of you who have no idea what were'e talking about. Take k is the largest number you know how to say, By saying k+1, you're technically saying a bigger number, so k becomes k+1, so add 1 to that which becomes the new biggest number. Repeat to infinity (and beyond!)

EDIT AGAIN: Ah, I didn't notice that was a link

EDIT ONCE MORE: I suppose for my "Infinite Induction" largest number theory thingme, it would be better to say "k+1 where k is the largest finite number you can mathematically express". Now THAT would be an infinite loop. Saying k is the largest number you know how to say really implies the largest actual number you can verbally express (one hundred is OK, ninety-nine plus one is not) rather than expressing mathematically.

Of course then there's the question of wether that's even a valid logical statement. What I'm really doing is inducting a statement into itself. Can you do that?

I'll answer myself with a question: Why am I over-analyzing my own joke like this?

As you have shown, there is no such number.

Plus, it seems unreasonable to give something that sort of score, especially if there may be other games in the future with better multiplayer modes.

Then I'll use k+2 lol. They both approach infinity, but k+2 does it faster! Or I could do k^2. That way it would be the dominant term if you divided them.
If that doesn't work, I'll just wave my hands in the air and recite mathematical theories and expressions as the all-powerful mathematical mage! "Taylor Expansion, Fermat's Last Theorum (Chuck Norris can find non-zero integer solutions to a^3 + b^3 = c^3 ), Integral, Euler, SUPERCONTINUOUSBUTNONDIFFERENTIABLEKERSPLOSION!!"

ANYWAYS....

So I got a total of 2 participants this week. I don't think many people know that it exists on this forum yet. Maybe because it's not in N competitions. At least it makes things easy for me *stamps document to extend time*.

...And this week another 2. Huh. Maybe it's just time to end the Caption Contest.

!Important Post!
////////////////////////////////////////
If you are still interested in the Caption Contest, but just can't think of anything for this week's image, please post here. I need to know how many people are still interested in this. I think a lot of people left the forums instead of moving to the new ones so I lost a lot of entrants. If I don't get at least 4 more entrants this week, I'm probably shutting it down. At least for a while, anyways. If a lot of people (even like 8 people) want it to come back, I'll bring it back. It's up to you.

Well, it's up to 7 votes now. Not bad for a few days. Now I know people know it's here and are still interested, so I'll probably continue next week, no matter how many submissions I get. I'm keeping the poll up for the week though, because I still want to see a few more votes and I just want to see how many people are actually interested.

Although, fewer participants mean I have a better chance at winning a sigtag. Hoho.
But really, I like this contest, it's just that I don't participate as often as I want to, with school and whatnot.

Is there any chance we could move on to the next image now? Doing nothing for three weeks isn't going to help.

This has been a pretty crazy week. Finally done my last midterm in which we were given many questions and little time. The exam itself was really easy, just way longer than it had to be. I was falling a little behind on assignments last week, but now I'm back on track. As you can see, I haven't gotten around to making the image yet. I'll do that tomorrow. Once the exams finish, I'll have a lot of time to make images, and I'll premake groups of them so I won't have to worry about making them later when thing get busy again. Until then, just hold on and be patient. Caption Constest is still fully alive and cooking kicking. (o.O typo) My comic is kind of comatose at the moment, as is everything else I'm working on or planning on working on (*cough*nrelatedminigamedoneinflash*cough*), but once this term ends, I'll have about 1000% more free time!

Replace "term" with "semester," and I think that would apply to me, too.
