The voting site for the Dronies 2009 is finally up! Head on over and make your choices for the best of the best of 2009. Voting will run until 12 midnight GMT on the night of January 14th/morning of the 15th 2010. Take your time, make your choices carefully, and go for it.

We are only counting the first ballot submitted.

A huge congrats to every single one of the nominees and good luck to all of you!

(p.s. If you were sneaky and voted on the site before this announcement, it shouldn't matter at all.)

We highly recommend you do not use Internet Explorer. (Also, it messes up when viewing the Dronies site.)

Interesting selections this year. I honestly had no idea I'd end up voting for different people than last year. -_-

That, and there was masses of variety between the selections. Nice job!

I'd like to give a huge thanks to sidke, Yanni and Skyline for keeping this alive. I've been really busy and tired lately and they've all been a huge help.

Be sure to give them your thanks for keeping this thing alive, either in this thread or when you see them in IRC, guys. (DO NOT PM THEM THEY DO NOT NEED 14 MESSAGES SAYING THANK YOU)

Massive thanks for setting this up again guys. Thanks heaps for making it so functional and easy. :)

Also, I just want to give a big shout out to Riobe-san. Nice work getting so many nominations man. I think you'd be hard pressed to /not/ vote for him at least once.

Thanks to those who kept this going.

Although, I must say I did have a small issue with the website using Internet Explorer - it looks fine on Mozilla, but on I.E the options overlap each other, of which makes it hard to view.

It might just be me. No idea.

And thanks to those that nominated me. I was really suprised at that. =D

I would like to remind everybody that the Highest Posting Member™ also pays for Ventrilo, actively tries to run a bunch of things, ran insomNicon, will be getting our next domain, and makes a wonderful ham sandwich. (And will personally throw a L4D2 game to make you look skilles.)

Wink wink, Nudge Nudge. =P

Thanks for doing all of that, Slapps (whether you get the vote or not... I'm not going to say).

I think it's a shame those who made a real effort with their reviews were overlooked and you lot nominated such worthless pap (a couple of them are fun, but three in particular are ridiculous stupid).

Gratz to everyone who was nominated and good luck! :)

You're a dick. Take a step back and realize that by virtue of the fact that people nominated these people, you are in the minority. Nor do we need to know your particular opinion here. I think all of the nominated deserved it, and to say that some are worthless pap seems extremely unsportsmanlike. -1.

Well, (I was under the impression that) everyone's opinion is welcome and valued here...that's one of the defining features of our community. If atob wishes to express his displeasure at some of the nominations, I think he has every right to, just as much as I have the right to express my approval of them.

However, it was slightly contradictory and strange of him to, in one sentence, call several nominations "worthless pap" and in the next congratulate all who were nominated. It would be like going up to Usain Bolt after a race saying: "Your running sucks, steroid junkie! ...By the way, congrats on 1st place".

Na, they deserve the congratulations for managing to amuse enough people with their worthless pap to receive an award nomination. Although, seeing as this happens every year at 'renowned' ceremonies such as the Oscars, I'm not sure if it's that much of a feat...

And I'm sorry, but if anyone thinks writing Happy Halloween Bitches over and over again should be nominated over reviews that people obviously spent a lot of time and care over, well, it makes me a little sad to see this kind of thing even occurred and doubly so that it's being so aggressively defended.

Direct personal insults? Sportsmanlike? Right...
