What was wrong with it? It seemed fine to me. Was there like some bug or something?

We wanted more creative control. Do you have a problem with the new forums?SeventhSpirit wrote:What was wrong with it? It seemed fine to me. Was there like some bug or something?

No, just Metanet.forumer sounds more appealing to me. But that's just me. Also, I just noticed this (Sorry if it's not new) but easterviking works now :o

One reason was in fact the restricting .2.forumer.com part of the url. And... you're not still using easterviking, though, are you?

Being the owner and all, I am a huge proponent on NinjaRobotYeti. Even with Robotology hiatus, it kind of captures a bit of the absurdity about this community that isn't quite like anywhere else.
so,yeah. But we have full control here, whereas back there we did not. There are a lot of areas where we've benefited in that regard, and our original skins are awesome.

I don't think easterviking was ever not working. Anyway, the reason we had to do all that url switching is because we lost ownership of therealn and it's now in the possession of some other (Hollywood? Nazi?) dudes. Getting it back would involve waiting around for it to become available again, paying for it, and switching back to it from a better url.

TheRealN is kind of pointless now; Dave's left, his comic hasn't been updated in ages anyway, and here is more communist-based. Plus, changing back would just be inconvenient.SeventhSpirit wrote:Yanni, i'm not using easterviking, just wanted to say that it's working :P Also, will we ever get back forum.therealn back?
And I quite like having user-owned forums as opposed to other ones. It's far nicer.

<@Lenny> I didn't say that.
