So it appears that the buzzwords of the moment around here are "trust" and "identity". I thought that since these have been called into question with recent events, we should endeavor to strengthen the bonds that quite clearly are the foundation of the strong community we have here. So pretty much just post things about yourself - things you want to share with the community. Things you like to do; things you like about yourself; traits that you like in other people; possibly even things that you dislike about yourself. Feel free to also include a picture that you think helps convey what you're trying to say.
I'll get us started.
Hey, my name is Stephen. I'm 18, I play guitar, sing and dance really badly. I like going for long walks across the bush, and flirting...I seriously flirt with everyone I meet. Amongst my friends I've always been seen as the most abstracted of the group - I don't seem to have any sense of reason, and do things that generally seem ridiculous. I'm bisexual, and after an extensive IRC discussion, have decided that it is impossible to determine if I am a virgin or not. I'm going with not, just to play it safe, as I'm not the kind of person to make stuff up about myself. I've never been good with relationships, and in the past have fallen really hard for almost the worst girl I could have, but somehow I managed to move on from that, and have recently had more luck. Today I met this girl Emily, and she's really great. We did the lame sharing smiles across the lecture room, and then afterwards had a chat and got lunch. She's really cool, really attractive, and I'm a little bit smitten. :3
Err, yeah, back to me. Currently (as I'm sure you all know), I am extremely pale and extremely lanky, and these are the two things that I dislike the most about my physical self. I've been told my voice is pretty swell, and that I have cool eyes going on, but yeah, I can't really get past those. No matter how hard I try I don't tan at all, and I'm really struggling to grow some notable muscles. :(
The other thing I that worries me is that I'm currently in a little bit of self-loathing, because of some changing circumstances. I started smoking when I was 15, because..well, I don't really know why, but the point is, I despise cigarettes now. They disgust me, yet I still fail quitting. It really is as hard as the ads make out, and I loathe myself for ever starting. I'm not as fit as I used to be because of them - I can barely sprint 100 meters! ;___;
Overall though, everything is going quite well for me, and I'm happy. Emily is sweet, Uni is great and I'm also currently investing in a sexy car.
So that's me and what's going on in my life. Who are you, next poster?

However, if this does manage to remain unlocked, I call dibs on this spot. I think you guys ought to know about the real me.

I think they're distinct enough for this to be justified. Lenny's thread is about who you are. This thread is more about what you are. What you feel. How you live.
