Browser problems with these forums

I have Windows XP home and I use the latest version of Firefox 2.

This forum does two strange things:
1. Random logouts (multiple logouts per visit) - I'll click the link to a board, a thread, Post Reply, my PM box, or really anything else and (randomly) it will arrive at that screen having logged me out. It happens much more frequently without the "Log me in automatically" box checked at the login screen.

2. Messages usually take a few tries to be deleted. Whether checking boxes or deleting from the message viewing screen itself, they can take as many as 5 tries to finally be deleted. If I'm viewing the message, I'll click delete, it has me confirm, and then it takes me right back to viewing the message.

I did a quick test of the random logouts on IE, and it's the same. I've never had any problems like this before, so I'm at a loss. Help would be very much appreciated.

I'll look into both of these.

These are both cookie problems. All on your local machine and probably nothing we can fix for you. Try waiting it out, clearing your cache and/or cookies, or upgrading to Firefox 3. If a week or two passes and the problems never go away, we'll start looking for fixes.

If strange logouts / Occur for you / Then upgrade from / Firefox 2 / Burma Shave.

I have Firefox 3 with Fail-Vista and all is good.

Weird. Just now, a random logout happened. I logged back in to do one thing, and then absent-mindedly clicked "Logout". Then this message appeared:

"You were not logged out, as the request did not match your session. Please contact the board administrator if you continue to experience problems."

Does this change anything?

It's a cookie problem as LV said. Try upgrading browsers and checking your security options to do with cookies and sessions. They may only be stored while you view tha page, nit after you lave and return.
