How do i jump in this version?
Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.

Anyway, M&R you should clean the scoreboard so that each person's name only appears once. Thanks.

Can I change the controls? I'm used to using my left hand for directions and my right hand for jumping, and this is really disorienting.

Does anyone else feel that the new gold system is fucking perfect for this sort of competition? Every instance is so much more tense.

Damn, I even predicted EMG would get 1000 seconds, and so far he is only 10 seconds off.

I got a highscore on harder, but it was lower than the three that are there so far. It didn't let me post. Confused and saddened.

yeah, happened to me on hardest; it's imperative that you fully load the highscores before starting a game, otherwise it won't let you submit your score...boustrophedon wrote:I got a highscore on harder, but it was lower than the three that are there so far. So I've actually played it now. The challenge mechanic with the gold and the time and stuff is pretty tremendous.

Thank you Mare and Raigan.
Some observations after playing through-
The ninja loses more momentum when changing from flat to slanted tiles. lvl 16 on hardest makes this really apparent.
Related to that, the ninja feels "stickier" to me. Really noticeable when tipping over an edge. This is probably just the minor changes to tile collision and physics.
Stutter stepping on slanted tiles is gone.
The biggest improvement to me - Drones don't lose time to each other. I think this might also mean that the firing delay on other enemies will be more predictable on maps with several enemies.
I wonder if they might be considering making the episode highscoring work like this contest. It makes it way more fun and intense to play several maps in a row.

Verified as effective for NReality and N 2.0 BETA on my cousin's computer running Windows 7.
Method 2: (I haven't tested in NReality or 2.0, but apparently it works for NReality, so this might be a good plan B.
1.) Go to Start => Control Panel => Sound.
2.) On the Playback tab, right-click your speakers on the list there and select "Properties".
3.) Depending on your speaker setup and your version of Vista, there should be a tab there called "Effects" or "Enhancements" or some such. Check the box marked "Disable System Effects" or "Disable All Enhancements" or whatever.
4.) Play N lag-free!
Good luck!
