@ ninja: Well, I do have to make it interesting every so often ;)

@ all: I didn't post yesterday, and I feel like explaining. The immediate reason was because I was working on a paper all day, but I only had to work on it because yesterday was the last day of quarter break which I spent looking at colleges. I went to 6 schools that I (mostly) enjoyed. Obviously I'd love to go to MIT, but the school I really came out with a great respect for was Williams College. Pretty sure that's in the northeastern part of Massachusetts (which is one of those things I still can't spell).

That said, I haven't been around colleges much outside of New England and a bit in the midwest so I still have no idea where I want to go.

The next few updates might be a little slow. I realized that I currently have a gaping plot hole right now and I need to modify some of the comics I already scanned to close it up. Barring massive English homework, it should be done next week some time. If it doesn't though, that is probably the situation.

For now, a new comic comes forth!

oh and i can certainly understand the lots of homework bit, i had a crap ton the other day as well as last night, it took me till 12am yesterday to get my homework completely done. so been there going through it understanding how you feel.

@ ingate: Nah, he's just following orders. "Pull out of the mainframe, Remove the plants." (edit from far in the future: I realized I completely misunderstood the question. Better answer: In a way. It's really just meant to show frustration but temporarily breaking code could be a good explanation for that. Sorry for the confusion.)

@ all: Unless there are any strong objections, this is the format I think I'm going to do the posting in, with the comic on top. That way I don't always end my "@all" sections with the 'anyway.... New comic!' type stuff, and I don't have to be like "oh, you'll just have to read the comic today to find out." when someone asks a question that gets answered in the comic.

Guys, you have no idea how sorry I am that I've been away so long. It was a combination of not knowing where the site was, anxiety about my buffer, holiday distractions and most recently a ridiculous homework load... but it's no excuse. I am very sorry I wasn't able to be here.

I'll be continuing right where we left off, and expect updates more frequently past 165. It's simply not possible for me to catch up right now, but here's three for the wait!

Me Being Less of a Douche than Last Year about not Getting a Dronie Nomination

A retroactive "sorry about that," Lenny.

I guess subconsciously I knew that not posting for a month and a half would ruin any sliver of chance at a dronie nom. On the other hand, all the nominations are awesome (although I personally don't care for LORAH too much) so maybe I didn't really have a shot this year anyway. Oh well... there's always next year!

@ all: So, yeah. I'm a moderator now. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I mean, grateful is pretty much a given (seriously: Slappy and Others_In_The_Decision_Process, thank you) but as for a happiness level, no effing clue.

To be honest, I'm probably going to forget half the time until I post and see the "Lock Topic" checkbox underneath the "Notify me when a reply is posted," and then I'll be like "oh yeah, I'm a mod now" and go make sure nobody is being too big an asshole. Basically I'm like a guy who every once and a while realizes the reason he's in the airplane is that he's flying it ("Did we crash?" "No" "Did we overshoot?" "No" "Alright, I'm going back to have another drink").

EDIT: By the way, I changed the scanning technique again. Would you say this looks on average better, or worse, than the last 40?

Honestly, I don't see much of a difference - I didn't notice anything until I saw the edit and checked the others. But if I had to pick one, I'd choose the one you used on the last 40.

And yeah, I'm still here, still a fan. Love the new stuff.

I think I preferred the previous technique, it was darker. But still, it's not much difference, so whichever is easier for you to churn out the comics.

@ Slappy, Dark, Ignate: Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably be going back and forth for a while, my guess is that new one will probably be the final. Out of curiosity, which skins do you guys use? I still use the orange one (I know) and haven't done a lot of testing on the other skins.

@ Dark: Glad to see you back. What's the status of Gotter?

@ All: Well, more excuses I suppose... but my brother asked me after I came back from tennis on Sunday if I wanted to go to see my cousins out of state. 7 minutes later I walked out the door and proceeded to sit in the airport for about 6 hours + 1.5ish on the plane. So long story short, sorry about Sunday, this Sunday will be better (unless he randomly decides to go see our other cousins) and Sundays are still updates under normal circumstances.
