Dude, Vyacheslav, I totally know that album. I've listened to it before. On youtube, that is. Somewhat solid, uninteresting, but an interesting theme.
Ahab is a good doom band that's sea-oriented. Much better than Alestorm.

I must be weird then!Seneschal wrote:It's really not. I guess you could say it's important presentation wise, but saying its influences the music itself seems ridiculous to me because it just doesn't. I don't feel any different listening to the album when looking at its cover art than when I'm not, so I'd say that it isn't crucial to the music whatsoever.Amadeus wrote:it's also crucial to the music and how they wanted it presented
I actually bought the album, therefore having it physically, and I can say that the album art and the extra stuff definitely made me more excited about the album, and more willing to love it. So, it influences my thoughts on my first listen, and influences what I listen, aaaand therefore the music itself.

http://greenbrown.bandcamp.comPeople write to me and say, "I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me." I just write them a simple message like, "Never give up," you know? And it changes their life

Fair point, I hadn't really considered that angle before. I guess it's because I don't usually pay much attention to album covers.Donfuy wrote:I must be weird then!Seneschal wrote:It's really not. Anyway:
Anyone who guesses the simple thing connecting these albums gets a small cookie.

I was digging this for a while a few weeks ago, but now I'm digging whatever Pandora sends my way. I've got a Jack's Mannequin + Something Corporate station that I'm currently enjoying, and a Passion Pit + Daft Punk station that I've also had a lot of fun with.chocollama wrote:

Yeah, I know, most of the Cannibal Corpse covers are using art violence (I really don't know the exact name for that) though they're really good. But my favorite album is Eaten Back To Life. Ah, and few days ago you recommended me to listen to Transilvanian Hunger. Yeah, about that, I listened to whole album yesterday, t'was really good. I really like the vocals. ^_^987654321 wrote:Aye, Tunc, be careful of posting Cannibal Corpse covers... but Tomb of the Mutilated is their best album, I think. I also LOVE Under a Funeral Moon by Darkthrone. "When the funerals never end..."
E: If any admin or anyone thinks that they are offended by the any of the cover I posted (by Cannibal Corpse) I can delete them and only give the links to pictures or write the album name down (giving the "Warning! Extreme gore and blood" warning, of course). If the covers violate any of the forum rules or offends anyone, I apologize. I will do what I said if any circumstance happens in which that that anyone is offended.

This is not a children's forum. If we're not allowed to have two corpses brutally raping each other post-mortem on the Entertainment section of the Ninja game, I don't know where we are.

I don't know, I just thought some people wouldn't like to see that kind of things on the forums. Though sometimes you admins act unexplainably ironic and / or sarcastic but somehow still being extremely serious and realistic about the subject. No, that's not an insult. :)SlappyMcGee wrote:This is not a children's forum. Though, if you're just being sarcastic, nevermind.
