Bahahaha. We actually debated for quite a while as to whether that episode's time limit was going to be too strict. First couple times I went through the episode, that same thing happened to me. =)

If you have around 40 seconds at the start of 193-2 you should be good. 30 seconds is doable if you're fast. You could beat the level in 20, but it takes 4 seconds to get any gold in the next level, so you would be screwed ;_;

I guess the minimum time you could have, if you tied dawiki's 0th score, would be around 20.5

Also, if you still have that blizz, I'd like to see how much harder it could be. What did he add, a chaser drone instead? A rocket that must follow you until the end? Tons and tons of chainguns under that and one-way platforms instead of walls? How bad could it be? (I think I'll regret those words later ...)

Basically, Tim is a big fan of X- and Z-snapping, and the bounce-blocks were snapped so that your execution had to basically be frame-by-frame in order to complete the entire thing in a single run.

As for that level, you look to have a total of 47 seconds to complete the level, assuming you get all of the gold, which takes about an extra 10 seconds out of your way to get, so 37 seconds to complete that level without dying or fucking up... I don't think that's possible.

Well ... then I think it's time for me to close and try again ... again ... At least now I sort of know the pattern of each of the drones and can anticipate. There's no way to go through the mines, is there? Because that would be ... just painful to pull off ...

That seriously sounds like a b_t level now. It sounds like it would be on par with MTI and the 100 & 110 columns, in terms of difficulty (and, possibly frustration). Thank god it isn't in there. I can only imagine what the highscores would look like for that.

Heh. That's not all. There were many, many tktktk levels that I had to tell him, "Good God, man! Less Z-snapping!"

Brambles and Shambles, for instance (Origins 79-4, Anthology 179-4? I think?) was originally much, much more difficult as well. The mines were all Z-snapped up as well.

Edit: And no. No way to go through the mines.
