Unfortunately N is written in AS1. NReality is written in AS2. And Flash is a beast... a few mistake can make NReality lag like hell.

I won't forgive you... just kidding, I get your point. However, dunno if there's any point in handing it, since 1.5 might come out (M&R didn't make a blog for a loooong time). It might be better to make a new NReality for 1.5 since I guess M&R won't include speedrun n' stuff.
Also an idea came to my mind, how hard would it be to actually code some kind of 'save states'? For demo building? Because when you pause the game, the game has to save the state of all objects somewhere, it shouldn't be that hard. Maybe the last thing to implement before you leave for good / give up NReality project? :)

I personally would love to see it implemented. Savestates and rerecording, in combination with fbf would make building demos much easier and possibly more people could put out runs like Raif does. And I think van was implying that you might be leaving soon and therefor this would be the last thing you would do for NReality, not that it isn't a very desirable feature, quite to the contrary.

Anyway. I was expecting more people, like at least 15, but whatever. You now have 1 week to suggest maps. You have to suggest 10 maps for each of highscore and speedrun, and they don't have to be the same maps. Send your map choices by PM to me. Yeah I know that this will mean I'll end up with over 100 maps, but then there are issues like people forgetting about the map restrictions and two people suggesting the same map and stuff like that. If we still end up with more than 100 then I'll just randomly throw some out.

Here are the restrictions.

- All 10 maps have got to be DIFFERENT maps. (Yeah I know that is obvious, but even so.)
- No DDAs, survivals, unplayable maps, or time-consuming maps like 134005.
- No more than 2 NReality modded maps.
- No more than 3 maps made by yourself.
- No maps that have been heavily highscored on. A few casual AGDs on maps are fine, but nothing that has been hacked to death by the pros.
- No Christmas-themed maps. This contest isn't just going to stop before Christmas, you know.

You have to suggest maps by PM by Christmas Eve 2010, @800.beats Swatch Internet Time. Go.

Still accepting signups. But late entries can't suggest maps.

Ok, to quickly sort some things out. You have 75 maps, the others will get put up as soon as I can get to them. I propose the following scoring system:
100 points for 0th
66 points for 1st
50 points for 2nd
40 points for 3rd
33 points for 4th
28 points for 5th, etc, etc...
Just so I can write "def f(x): return 200/(x+2)" in the code and run it. Makes it easier for me.
If you think this is too steep, just tell me and I'll reconsider.

Oh, and deadline. Erm... don't know. I'll just take a shot in the dark... February 16th?
