That is why I decline the title of Iron Cook and accept only the lesser title of Zinc Saucier, which I just made up. Also, it comes with double prize money!

JUDGING IS AND HAS BEEN UNDERWAY. I guess I should've said that sooner >_> Since palemoon is who-knows-where, we only have two judges, and it is taking longer than expected because of that. We'll have the results ASAP.

Okay, so, uh, I was trying to resolve this outside the thread and as quietly as possible, but that's not happening. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT PANIC.
As far as contestants go, we're more than good; this thing has attracted even more attention than I was expecting, which is awesome. On the judging side, though, um... Well, PALEMOON is I-have-no-clue; he's posting comments on NUMA but hasn't shown his face around here and as far as I can tell has no interest in this anymore. RandomDigits has more or less deleted N. As for me, I am failing college and need to get my shit together. So if anyone would like to run AND judge this, please PM me or contact me on IRC. We can forget about multiple judges; the important thing here is that the contest runs at a smooth pace. I'll pick someone to keep this going out of those willing and send them all the packs. Since I'm the thread OP, I'll still handle the contestant list and other things like that.
So, in conclusion, two things:
1) I will not let this contest fall apart. This thing is too damn awesome to fail, and once everything is stable we won't have all these hiccups to worry about.
2) I'm sorry :(((

Maxson, I'm suprised you didn't make a stupid "And make it double!" remark about this.

Round 2 will be starting as soon as possible. ChrisE has a program to help him randomize the packs, and flag apparently has all of Round 1 judged, so once he gets online I'll tell him to post in here. It's still unclear whether ChrisE will be the sole judge going forward or whether flag will help him, but either way this contest will be moving forward soon.
Thanks for your patience, everybody. :3

Yeah, that was a misunderstanding on my part, but we'll still be moving forward in the next few days.Nostromo wrote:This was so, incredibly not true, but I'll get on it. Me and Chris can do this I guess.Rose wrote:and flag apparently has all of Round 1 judged,

Notes:
-i only judged maps tagged "mapdraft" on numa. there were, as best i remember, 19 of them. contact me if your map did not get judged because you fucked up.
-remember to include your packs somewhere
-maxson is guest-judging chris and i's maps to keep things fair
-i'm not sure how chris is doing his judging, but i made a list of the top five finishers (too few contestants for pods). i will hopefully talk to chris before he judges so that our formats are the same
-OP will be updated soon
-first place will likely get a feature
