I think you're talking about naem. If you are, your suspicions were correct, as his runs have been thoroughly analysed and determined to be made illegitimately. Fortunately, we have a brilliant mod called 'NReality' which was developed by Unreality, which allows players to submit runs using a secure, uncheatable platform which was first released at the end of 2007 and is updated every now and then. It also supports physical mods, such as a change of gravity, image-maps, new enemies etc. Check it out and check the NReality thread - I highly recommend it. Also, trib4lmaniac occasionally lurks on IRC under 'Alex' on #n-highscores.

Leaving the game for over half a decade, then coming back, I'm not surprised how mind-blowing the highscores appear. I'm constantly blown away - and I've been highscoring regularly since 2005. XD

Yeah, it was totally "naem" - so close: 4 letters, starting with N. :D I don't recall which level it was, but there was one highscore I still remember with a tunnel around the outside of a large open circular area in the centre, and a rocket chasing you (I think?)...and he managed to get the rocket to sneak past a vertex and into the centre. Regardless of its legitimacy, it was a brilliant idea. haha

I tried playing again the other night, but I was failing hard. It's weird to get re-acclimatized to the physics after playing Meat Boy so much.

Haha yeah i felt the same after finishing with super meat boy too, however you must feel it much harder of course.
As for the Top N moments video, I think you're probably talking about ska's youtube account, thats a video he made long ago, maybe he also posted in your video. ;)
And the level you're talking about is 80-3, though now a bunch of legit players have beaten naem's score, and all scores on the board do that trick heh :P highscores have become pretty crazy since your times.

Related to SMB, I only got it a month ago. I haven't been playing it a whole bunch, but I didn't find the physics too too different from n (at least with meat boy), and I think I'm competent at both. I have a harder time switching between Meat Boy and Ogmo (curse you the Kid warp zone!)

Hey guys, I supose you'll find it strange to see me doing this new Ranking edition, but I hope you'll be happy as well. I know TRO is very busy to keep doing this, and he hasn't joined in over a month now, so I decided to do a new Rankings myself. Last Rankings were 3 months old, so they were very outdated, no such time should be spent without new rankings again. I sent him a PM asking if he thought it was a good idea, but he hasn't been able to reply me yet, so for the moment, I'm relevating him in the task of making these rankings.

Adjustements to the Rankings

When doing the rankings, some adjustements together with the ignoring list must be done in order to have absolutely proper and correct rankings. This extra adjustements are the following:

• Add Last_FairyTail 0ths to xaelar's count.
• Add van_come_to_irc 0ths to vankusss's count.
• Take into account that kryX's 25-2 tied 0th is Legit, even though he is ignored because the rest are cheated.

And thats all at the moment!

After scoring episode 60, I am tied with lat at 574 highscores! On a related note, Eddy lost his spot on 16-1... sadly the hackers have tried to make a comeback. Only 3 more until I have 100 episode highscores.
