Take a look at 40-2 and watch the two drones at the top. The left one is faster! Why?

That is weird! For as long as I've played this game, I can't believe I've never noticed that before. I was thinking maybe it's covering more distance than the right drone but I don't see that...

Even better example to see this: One of my oldest maps, 219947.

I'm not sure what the reasoning behind it is, but I remember from when I was making a map a couple years ago that it seemed like drones would sync up in groups of 3, in order that they appeared in the code. So for example, if you put 6 drones in your map, the first 3 would be synced together and going at the same speed, and the last 3 would be synced together at the same speed, but those two separate groups of 3 drones would be different. Since there's 4 drones in 40-2, that would be my guess for what's happening.
[16:24] <@golfkid> I'm pretty sure I will literally scream if I die on the last column of 78-4 at this point
[16:25] <trance> Oh, yeah. That level.
[16:29] <@golfkid> lol
[16:30] <@golfkid> It looks so simple
[16:30] <@golfkid> But it says "NO! I will rape your sanity!"

It's particularly well documented by DDA makers, which is why DDA makers always say to put in the objects first, especially all drones, guasses and rockets, as adding additional stuff later may ruin the DDA. I believe N 2.0 addressed this particular issue.

i thought this glitch was pretty well known :/ watch the drones in 137-1 for a good example, they start off in sync and then the third pair slowly lags behind the others. i don't think this one conforms to golfkid's groups-of-3 theory either
anyway m&r said they'd already fixed it in v2.0, and you can see the results in certain beta levels, so all's good
