Took 57-3. ;) A thwump push could save like 20-30 frames or even more.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm really happy about the progress I've made since I started playing again in August and it's cool that others are noticing it as well.

Macro, your run is pretty neat; I didn't think it was improvable by that much :P

yeah... that would be hella dope to pull off in a complete, real-time run.

I think with a BWJ off the thwump, instead of jumping off the 1-tile, might allow you to reach the fall on the right side with out touching the floor. That would save a nice chunk of time. I am not sure if the gauss will get you though.

That's definitely possible. I even did it a few times, but died later in the run.

EDIT: Took 29-4 with a new route, but I'm sure there are even faster ones.
EDIT 2: Tied 54-1.
EDIT 3: Took 26-0.

Ok it might just be me but I think there is one frame left on 129-3. I originally got 124 but as I keep watching the demo, it feels like 123 is possible if we can get closer to the laser.

I doubt it. Unless you can gain more velocity, I think 124 is the max.

74-2 by 10 frames. Was redoing the column when I beat the drone and remembered that none of the speedruns used that. Then I looked and realized Darkshadow already did it :(.

Welcome back, nice run. Here's a little innov you can try if you can be bothered (You have to start running a few frames late or you run into the drones, but other than that its pretty simple)

crap... just took the 0th without seeing this innov...
569 without - to 556 (still improvable obviously...)

Edit 1: i will try and clean it up more when i'm less intoxicated.
Edit 2: Got 537 after more than a hour of trying tonight, and will probably be taken in less than 5 minutes by macrohenry. Nevertheless, I'm actually pretty satisfied with the run as it stands.

;__; sorry ska your innov/route was way too juicy, not sinking my teeth into it would be blatantly disrespectful to biggie smalls.

Don't blame me, blame the B.I.G.

Damn that ascent was clean and that little innovation at the exit switch save a surprisingly large amount of time. I wouldn't have thought the WJ was that much slower. Nice job man.

Whoa! That is a novel idea right there. I would not have thought of that. Yeah it is a hell of a lot faster. Hopefully it doesn't require too much luck of the third one. Low Jumps are so finicky with respect to the ninja's position. Certainly possible though.

Nice tweaking! Biggie Smalls sends you his love from above. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.)
Biggie Biggie Biggie can't you see. Sometimes kool's runs just hypnotize me.

Also, nice idea for 55-4. Could someone MBD that, to see how much time it could actually save if properly executed?

Low jumps can be surprisingly useful in some levels. I have worked out an innovation using a low jump for a highscore on a different level. I hope I'll be able to show you what I mean soon.

Managed to do three low jumps on 55-4. It's only a 536f run because I messed up the rest of the run. The low jumps are actually not much faster than the current route if you compare van's run with mine.
Took 87-4 and tied 62-0.

cool. I'd like to see you use Meta's rcj in 87-4 though... there's more time to be saved there...

Nice runs macro, I agree with ska that rcj in 87-4 would be nice to see.
Taken 55-4, the ending isn't great though.
