Honestly, probably not man. As you can see I'm really not a hardcore N player like I used to be. I honestly doubt I have the skill to get close to 0th. I might try to retake some sr 0ths and maybe a few hs 0ths (*ahem* macro) lol. I do want to take 89-0 & 00-0 tho.

Another non-legit 0th down, finally took 2-2 from goo

Edit: Awesome 56-1 macro, very smart thinking. I knew those pieces of gold were obtainable.

Edit: Your 88-4 is almost 3 seconds slower than Eddy, I think you should take it

To be honest, I didn't mean to take 91-4, I just wanted to improve a bit, but it was enough for the 0th. And yeah, I didn't want to risk too much at the end.

That's a great 91-4 macro. I always knew it was possible to go through the top level without dropping and waiting out the chainguns. I think there's definitely room for some significant improvement yet.

ska, I remember Kh4l3th having the 0th on 83-0 as well. Eddy hasn't had it for that long. Although, macro needs to resubmit his run with NReality there, the website still shows Eddy with the 0th and macro almost 5 seconds behind.

I guess you meant macro, I've never had it. macro's run is actually from middle 2009 so he's had it for some time now, but Kh4l3th had it since late 2007 indeed (thanks NHigh :P). I suppose macro would need to improve his score as that 0th is from his old age, when he used N 1.4 and didn't contact the community.

btw great job avoiding the wait at the top in 91-4 macro (and doing it in an actual 0th run ;)), its impressive how much the level has been cleaned lately, I still remember when TWA was holding on it forever, partly because that was not so long ago :P

Ah well. I figure it was worth a shot goading you in to it. There is no doubt 89-0 should be yours. It is well known you are the undisputed king of the chimney. (32-1 should be yours as well considering you are the only one who has even attempted kryX's route.)

What a nice battle there. Great route jp. I think you can easily take that back from Macro. Your ascent on the left was awful and you are only half a second back.

I think we as a community has a ways to go on 91-4. I see a ~275 run being the 0th with the AGD route and execution.

Took 68-0, 68-3 and Ep68. So that's my second episode ownage. ^_^ And because of these scores I managed to become 0th for Total Points and I also beat Eddy's Average Points.

Damn I don't know if I ever took the time to appreciate Eddy's 68-3 run, but that route is jam packed with hard tricks, drone timing, and it is clean as hell. Nice job taking that one down Macro. Congrats on the ownage as well.

Congratulations Macro! I would say I can't imagine there isn't much left to improve, but I think we all know that with your innovative prowess we will see that number continue to climb. Case an point that innovation on 68-4 so elegant and a huge time saver.

I find it mind-boggling that the 68-4 0th has improved by over 3 whole seconds since LAT held the 0th. (I'm pretty sure he held it, because I used it back in my original Best of N compilation.)

I have no idea why I never tried that. It's a pretty obvious innovation and not too hard to pull off. Used it to take 35-4 although I lost a lot of frames later in the run.

So yeah, please watch my 10-0. It uses a low jump innovation. A more powerful rcj should be possible, I did it once, I think. But even like this it's about 3 frames faster. If you do the rcj properly you won't need to do what Eddy did on the right. And if you then don't mess up the ending as I did it should be enough for the 0th, I'd guess. A completely clean run(with Eddy's corner "tripping") could be around .500. Time to update your MBD, Raif. ;)

Edit: Also took that 10-0, and I didn't really get a low jump (To be honest I'm not sure how to do a low jump).
If you could combine that and Eddy's trip I agree you could easily get .500

That rcj surprised me. If I had known that this was possible I wouldn't have tried the low jump innov for so long. Congrats on the 0th! But of course I'll try to take both 10-0 and 68-4.

Bizarre 10-0. I tried many different trajectories trying to execute a RCJ to get up a level like that, but JP made that look so effortless!

Very nice innov macro, the low jump is still faster if that somehow encourages you haha. As for the trip, I'd say it would tipically save around 4-6 frames. I did some MBD'ing to test it out, by just editing my 10-0 in the least places possible. Took the gold frame-perfectly but without the trip, and ended up 6 frames slower:

Yeah I'm pretty sure I tried the exact same jump ages ago and decided that you couldn't get enough height from the RCJ, but after seeing macros run I decided to try again :)
