Congrats Eddy, that's absolutely insane. I can't believe that after all the years of competition and optimization there can still be someone this dominant.

Is it too early to say that he is the best that will ever be?

I hope it is - with N++ on the way it would be really cool to see some great new players. Realistically though, I don't expect anyone to ever reach this high of a level again.

Congratulations Eddy! 400 0ths is absolutely insane. Far more than anyone ever. True dominance for sure. But if your run has shown us anything, it is that every 0th is in danger... Always.

Congrats Eddy, a stunning achievement. 26-1 was ridiculous, and I'm sure you'll get your perfect episode soon. The way you (all of you) approach the game is remarkable. I wish more people could appreciate the things you guys do. I hope to one day see 53-0 or 02-4 fall.

Regarding your 84-1, I actually thought of this over four years ago, as evidenced by my 84-1 speedrun, and the trick has already been well publicized on the forums; especially when xaelar, macrohenry and Eddy were vying for 0th. The manoeuvre is artfully demonstrated in Raif's magnificent 84-1 highscore MBD. (I can't recall if his run was made before mine, but it's certainly possible.)

The problem with this map are the drones near the end...
This bottleneck requires a player to execute this innovation in concert with other tricks, such as the various other corner jumps, to circumvent the aforementioned bottleneck. I believe Raif gets past a couple of rotations, but for the human player, this is unviable. Realistically speaking, the best a player could hope for would be a single rotation saving with a god-like run; this would net a score of about 184.5.

The old forums! I've been going back and looking at old threads since Eddy (who was the one that contacted forumer and got the forums back) showed me them last month. It's really neat to find posts like this one, which might interest you. It's funny to open old innovation/0th threads and realize that all the scores people are talking about have since been eclipsed and removed from the board by multiple subsequent innovations.

Nice little find there Hendor. Glad to see you throwing your hat in the ring, it seems you still have the chops. Along with a cleaner ascent one could go for the the thwump push on the way down to the door as well for a few more frames, though that is very risky and would require a pretty precise angle.

Yeah I have given up trying to predict the cap on levels ever since Raif started is MBD project. Slicing 10+ seconds off of 0ths. It is crazy to think that not only did the community pass 72k total level score. We have two individual players who have. Absolutely nuts.
