NEWSFLASH!!

Today, Trezoid and I were in class, and I tried to connect to numa...500 error
He tries at the same time, gets in.

On top of this, I successfully managed to connect at one point over the weekend, but got the 500 error when I pressed the logon button. After that, thefrontpage was down again.

Is it possible that it's a trafficing problem, with the server only handling like, 3 connections at a time?

Read the thread. We've already established that it's some kind of problem with user accounts - you can browse NUMA as long as you're not logged in. Delete your cookies if you want to browse NUMA. Of course, you still can't submit maps, vote, etc.

Hooray for noobishness, how exactly do you go about deleting your cookies? I ran a virus scan and found one, but I still can't browse. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Look around in Tools > Options, or Tools > Preferences or something similar in the browser itself. There should be a way to delete the cookies from nmaps.net from there.

IE6 - Tools -> Delete Cookies... - And that will delete all the cookies you have, I think you can't choose sites on IE

Opera - Tools -> Preferences... -> Advanced -> Cookies -> Manage Cookies -> (start writing nmaps.net in the field for search and click 'nmaps.net' once when you find it) -> Delete Cookies

I don't have any other browsers.

lool, classic!
If everyone didn't do things because "someone else will" no one would do anything. Yet still, someone else will do it. Yeah.
ExüberNewsFeed: Exuberance is mostly <AFF> (Away From Forums) for a while, though I may still participate in epic contests/threads. When I return, I shall bring several comic updates (enough to finish season 1) and hopefully 1 or 2 games- at least one of which is N-related
Comic Activity-O-Meter: (how often I'm updating my comic)
(Click here to see what each level and half-level means in terms of updates per time period)

NOTE: If I just add a bunch of comics in one day, but plan on going back to normal after that, I probably won't update the status.
+ Dead: Canceled. Done. Maybe you'll get a random comic like once a year, but it's pretty much done.
- Zombie (Dead/Comatose): The comic is probably done regular updates forever, but I'll probably still add something once in a blue moon. It's still POSSIBLE, that I'll raise the status up, but not very likely. Maybe I'll have a comicplosion for like a week, then go back to being dead
+ Comatose: Complete stand-by. No (or very few) updates for some amount of time, but the comic's far from being over
- <AFK> (Comatose/Loitering): Stand-by, but you might possibly count on a few updates once and a while. Again, this is temporary
+ Loitering: Like comatose, but for short amount of times.
- Turtling (Loitering/Semi-Active): Really slooooww updates
+ Semi-Active: One every 2 weeks...ish?
- Quasi-Active (Semi-Active/Active): Averaging about 2 comics every 3 weeks
+ Active: Loosely defined status, but about a weekly update
- Over-Active (Active/Power-leveling): About 2 comics a week
+ Power-leveling: About 3 comics a week. Possible a schedule, possibly not
- Über-Epic (Power-leveling/COMICPLOSION!!): In some cases, this may actually be mean updates more frequently than COMICPLOSION!!, but I'm defining this level as a non-organized comic rush, kind of like a few days after my comic started
+ COMICPLOSION!!: Daily updates for a minimum of 5 days (since the daily updates started. It remains at this status until the 5, 7, whatever days are done)

69 hours as of now.
I hope there's no serious problem.
I kinda miss things like trying AGD challenges for deds, and usable tileset maps, and other stuff I can't do while submitting maps isn't possible.
On the bright side, we can expect some pretty sweet time-well-spent maps when its back! I know I got some.

...

I got one comment in and then it went down again.

EDIT: Dammit, I should've submitted a map. All the current ones on the Hot Maps page are getting quite a bit of attention.

Wow, this is weird. not only was it gone for 69 straight hours, it flickers on then off. Who's to say it didn't do that before, when no one tried?

How long was it up for? Obviously long enough to post a few maps.

I got it to work by deleting all teh nmaps.net's cookies. My map is still on the hot maps page, I hope all the people that played it would comment after numa's back up, :D

This is how I blocked NUMA's Cookies from internet Explorer 8,

>Internet Options

I hope it gets back up soon.

You'd think that someone with "connections" would've already tried to find out what's going on. Either information is being kept classified or the website authors don't know any more than we do, which both seem unlikely. This is very strange.
I haven't been around during any other shutdown of NUMA, so a question for the veterans: Has there ever been such a long shutdown of NUMA without some kind of informing of the public?

I'm pretty sure that there are rules about using the 'word' gay to mean negative or bad. This is regardless of how you might use the word outside of the forums. Please refrain from doing this. Especially Radium, as you've been flagged up for this before.
I think that the way Radium used the word "gay" was slang, meaning not cool or stupid, but I haven't seen any rules about using that word anyway.

We knew that Wumbla. How could this situation literally be gay?
