16-3:
180.500. It can be much faster if you make a backwardsjump on the right 8 tile. It's just difficult.

Speedrun and Highscore.
2 frames behind you! Oh, can't beat kryX, btw.
Oh, what a run.
Anyway;
Speed on ;
-138944
-152230
-2226
138944 taken (i have that faster route from nmaps, dunno why nobody did it without fbf) - slow ending (reaaaally slow)
152230 taken, maybe it's max, i died at 103
2226 too

also 170-4 speed, my first 0th from kryX :P it can be much faster because of my crappy ending
and xaelar nice 16-3

I've taken two speedruns today: 94-0 and 6-4.
Neither are very good, though. >.>

I actually think the fastest route on 16-3 is to extend the jump on the second from the left platform to reach the exit platform then jump to the exit switch and jump back to the exit from there.

1 2 3
/-\ /-\ /-\ /-\ /-\
_________________
1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 2

I just don't know if that's possible without missing either the gold on the right of the second from the left platform or one of the golds on the jump from the leftmost one to it. (Yay for confusing descriptions!)

Edit: Why the crap do the spaces disappear in my horrid ascii drawing? What it's supposed to show is going 2nd->3rd->5th->3rd counting from the left side.
Edit 2: Possible 96-4 beginning?
Edit3: Is it just me or is the end of xaelar's descent on 90-3 significantly faster than kryX's?

I think they are very close if not the exact same speed until the last 1 tile there kryx holds right longer so he falls on the slant of the 1 tile, where as xela goes faster on the last 1 tile and he hits the corner of e tile and 1 tile on the floor, but I can't tell you which one is faster because i don't have the demo data for kryx's run to check with fbf.

I was referring to specifically the last tile not the entire descent. I think that effect might allow a significantly faster fbf/underclock run.

Yeah, I think you are right. I post this a while back and Knu got .650 (374 frames) and he nicks the corner like xela, but he also does the last jump of the chimney differently so I can't how much faster it is to hit that corner, but it faster.

I had completely forgotten that Knu did 90-3. That fact that he used that same trick convinces me that it's faster since, given how much time Knu put into perfecting his fbf runs, I can't imagine him using a slower method.

I bet you could easily get a highscore on 90-3 TRO. You should go for it.

I have tried. I really want one. I got a 147.825 with a missed gold once, but I absolutely suck at the double perp jump at the begining going in to the chimney, it messes with the rhythm of my chimney.

Tied kryX and 999_Springs on that.

Might be able to tie you...

Interestingly macrohenry uses a completely different route on 54-2 that's still faster than the old one. Also, what the hell is with the the central bounceblock on 56-4? I've had a run over two seconds faster than the 0th ruined because of it's weird instability.

I don't know what you are talking about with the center bounce block, but I can say that, that maps needs some work, xaelar's run seems quite sloppy for a xaelar 0th.

Weird, I've noticed that before too, it's almost as if that bounceblock is lighter than normal. More bounce than block!
