I recently got D-Sides by Gorillaz, and I'm loving most of that (although I really hate some of the remixes and how there are three of DARE. -.-) I LOVE Highway (Under Construction) and Stop The Dams. :D
I've been looting freeshit.therealn.com, so I'm playing some JT Bruce, LeftRightLeftRightLeftRightLeft, maudlin of the Well ('Specially love these guys) and I'm about to get Sean Fournier's Oh My.
ChaoStar has hooked me on this Jpop/rock band called Primary, and they're really great. One thing that pisses me off, though, is that I can't write the titles of some of the songs since I don't know how to write Japanese symbols. <_<
Also, I raided my brother's room for a bunch of CDs. Many were damaged and didn't play or skipped a hell of a lot, but some of the ones that did were Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd and most of (What's the Story) Morning Glory by Oasis. I got like twelve other CDs, but they were practically unplayable. ;_;
Also, I've been listening to some more Radiohead recently, although (unfortunately) OK Computer seems to have disappeared from my library.... ;__;

Gorillaz! You gotta love Bill Murray and Murdoc is God. And Don't Get Lost in Heaven. And People (Dare again, but I like this one more). And Highway. And another I'm forgetting. And damn, it's fucking good. They're my companion in the Excite Truck record breaking sessions, together with The Doors (Oh when the music's over... yeaahh) or Deep Purple (Strange kind of woman...). I'm looking forward for Gorillaz next album, even though I got tired of this D-Sides album faster than the other two (maybe because I'm always playing Excite Truck >_> xD). The mixes CD doesn't quite amuse me, except for one or two.

Oh, and by the way Slappy, Autosuggestion must be their best song, ever! She's Lost Control (again) is great too, and so is No Love Lost. Now I'm trying to get on the other songs I didn't like so much at first listening, but I think with some listening, I'll get used to this band, sooo much, just as with Tuxedomoon.

Seriously guys, hear Tuxedomoon. I highly recommend Pinheads on the Move album for omonxutedo starters, or The Ghost Sonata for violin lovers. Or every single album of them. Divine is hard to like, I'm trying to, but right now I'm just hearing some songs I didn't like at first and now I'm totally loving in the album Cabin in the Sky.


In another topic, to be honest, Maudlin of the Well is quite good but I just don't hear them as much as I would listen to Sigur Rós or A Silver Mt. Zion (I think I can compare these three, no?). You talking about popular, I get really surprised that Post-rock is so listened here. You see, where I live there's none who likes this type, except for my father (who has a wonderful taste for music, I should say).


Ok, yet another topic (I took coffee half an hour ago so...), LCD Soundsystem's Sound of Silver is great. I usually get pissed at blatant repetition, but this guy does it just right.

"Someone Great" is cool, yet I listen more to "North American Scum" ("cause we are north american scum!").

Now, a footnote, I need to buy a new Radiohead album, as I have their first and their last (that's absolutely fantastic, "Jigsaw Falling into Place" and, the best, "Reckoner", that's pure sex) and now that I got into Joy Division (Slappy :D), I must get more.

Oh, I just missed a Nouvelle Vague concert (well, actually it was a Depeche Mode+Nouvelle Vague, but the singer got hurt somewhere and couldn't do the concert), because of exams. A shame. I like their interpretation of Tuxedomoon's "In a Manner of Speaking".
