Nice! I'm also at Baskin (in fact, got my Baskin acceptance letter a few days ago, a full month after my UCSC acceptance letter).
But you're, like, a high schooler or something now, right? I'm coming in as a junior, although most people my age are seniors. ...and I'll be at UCSC for at least 2.5 years. :\
I'm a senior right now. The UC application opens on November 1st / tomorrow. The app has been available since the beginning of October. I don't get my app results until early next year.

Awesome. I was actually deciding to whether to do Aerospace or Electrical. I went with the latter because of the huge job market in them.

Wooo 2.950! weighted!

Yes, I'm a failure at school. Every once in a while I realize that, and it ruins my evening.

4.22 weighted at the beginning of the semester, though it's probably a lot closer to 4.00 by now.

4.6, suckers
People write to me and say, "I’m giving up, you’re not talking to me." I just write them a simple message like, "Never give up," you know? And it changes their life

I've got a 3.7 at college. Top 20%, I'm not complaining in the least.

Due to my High-School not giving a damn, and the fact that they had mold everywhere which caused me to no be able to attend properly, 1.8. But hey, now I'm going to a fucking amazing university, so I'm not complaining.

In Canada, we use the metric system to divide up pie.

You guys use metric fractions?
Yeah, it's never made sense to me that American fractions are base-11.

I usually get an improper fraction of the pie. It's better that way.

Western Kentucky University. From what I've seen of it, which is the campus, and what I've heard, it seems to be quite an amazing place for me. That, and I'm in the Kelly Autism Program, so I get to go there for free and have my own dorm. :D.

Mines 6.50

I think to change it to the system you're talking about, divide it by two, so thats 3.25.
It would have been higher (i had two A's) but some bad marks in other places brought it down.

Edit: Oh yeah, this is high school.

Um.
Yeah, no, I'm sorry, but you don't have either of those.
If you got 100% in all of your classes in high school, you'd have a 4.00 unweighted. If you had taken nothing but AP classes since freshman year and gotten 100% in all of them, you'd have 5.00 weighted.

3.84 unweighted
4.64 weighted

I don't take any AP classes. IB is a lot harder, but more rare in high schools (i think only 3 HS's total have it in Nevada)

weighted gpa's are the only thing that gets above a 4 (max of 5 I think, not sure =P). It can get above a 4 based on the difficulty of the classes you take, though how to measure that is debatable.

unweighted is a max of 4, no higher.

... at least in my school =\

Well, because this was relevant to a scholarship application that I recently realized I have no chance of landing, I know exactly what my assorted GPA's are...
I went to a community college off and on for various things like theater and credit for classes in middle school and high school I wanted to skip. After I graduated high school, I went to Boston University, where I got a cumulative GPA of 1.64 for my two years there (the final semester's GPA of 0.25 really nuked it). For the record, it's low as it is largely due to personal reasons, not because of stupidity. After that, I went back to the same community college to pick up my grades again for a transfer back to a private university, and my current GPA here is 3.78, which brings my final cumulative GPA for all of my undergraduate work to 2.59. Yay.
