While I like the whole shelves concept, you've got some crazy AA on the wallpaper, and a random pixel font where the rest of your fonts are AA'd too, which looks mismatched. Love your start icon, like, a lot.
Hate your systray, and most of the default doze icons are a little clashy. Consider getting a complete iconset and applying it. You could probably just go all tango on it and it wouldn't clash. Windows AUC emblem on photoshop irks me.
Bit of a mixed bag for me. Its like it's trying not to be defaultwindows-y, but not quite getting away from it yet. I'd need open windows to comment on VS etc. Still, it's a lot more interesting than "here's my lolcat wallpaper roflkopt4r" style desks. I like the bar's colour a lot.

Fixing it as we speak.

No idea how to change the systray icons.

UZ: I think Techno used to have the same wallpaper a while ago. Cool, nonetheless.

there's various resoursehacking patches for kicking window's icons out without getting all nittygritty with the system, but do be sure to back stuff up/make a restore point before trying them. The other way involves reshacking a bunch of stuff yourself, which is possible but not very fun. If you want to go that route (or if you've ever wondered about altering embedded files in .exes), http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ is a decent, free, reshacking program.
Jesus windows is backwards with things like this. I replace my icons by, uh, putting a folder full of icons in a folder and loading them into my gtk+ in my appearance settings. I've even got a specific folder for hard overrides for things that provide their own icons. *aloof asshattery*

Anyway, yeah, there's patches and shit you can do if you don't want to do it manually. It's late, good luck.

Yet each one has its problems.

The 3rd has an horrible inactive titlebar.
The 4th's window buttons shouldn't have those borders, and i'm not sure about the task buttons.
The only problem with the 5th is the color and size of the font in the taskbar.

I'm kinda wondering why nobody chose the 1st. It certainly seemed like the best to me, at first. For now I'm gonna try and find a program to edit the VSs. Cause all of those would be really excellent weren't it for some little details.

The 5th one's problem is easy to remedy, cause if you go to appearance tab under the display properties, you will see a "customize" button that allows you to change all sorts of colors, fonts, and font colors.

Why not make your icon text transparent, bluepretzel? Control Panel - system properties - advanced tab - settings under performance - check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop" (2nd from last)

Match dem icons and we can talk, donfuy. No icons on the taskbar tabs would be a decent start, quick launch looks garish in comparison with the theme and wallpaper. Not a bad base though.

Incluye I really like that wall :D be nice to see some windows open doing some poserish stuff though.

I'm not sure about that. I'm not sure if I want my desktop to lose all the colors. And I actually use the quick bar, a lot.

But I'll experiment with stuff, and post results here.
