How would you like to die?

after reading the last second thread, i finnally decided to post this idea

if you had the choice, how would you die?

Figurativly: in a blaze of glory. They'd carry my body out, and lay it down on the ground, and everyone would be silent

Realisticly: in my sleep

Either in my sleep or by carbon monoxide. Or both.

The Children of Maxson know the great one will never die.

To die serving the cause,
is not to die,
but to live,
and the
Youths
and their silly
Brigade,
will feel death,
if not honourable.

Heh. Ideally, I figure I'd die in some kind of massive explosion or something, due to having refused to leave the control room. Hopefully, my refusal to abandon the control room would save the human race.

This is somewhat impractical, though.

More likely, in my sleep.

I'll probably die in my sleep, but if I had a choice, I'd like to die with everyone looking at me. I hope George Carlin is right about the two-minute warning, because if it's true and I get it, I'm going to leap out of my hospital bed, run down the hall, throw someone off of their stretcher, take the stretcher, and ride down the stairs on it. If I still have any time left, I'll yell "THAT'S ALL, FOLKS!" and die where I stood.

This thread is going to go just as quickly as the END OF THE WORLD!!! thread did before.

Anyway, I think I would like to die quickly, in my sleep, or the "with meaning," as in saving someone else through my death. Though I'm sure I wouldn't truly want to die if placed in said scenario. My ultimate goal of success in my life would be measured by how many people showed up to my funeral (because they cared, of course, not because they were just there).

hmmm, this partially mirrors a true story but the ending has been fabricated for my own purposes.

I would like to die in a part of the world where "An eye for an eye" is the law. The way in which my death would occur would start out as a suicide. I'd find my way to the top of a decently high building and look down at the ground with all the people walking by. I'd wait for a moment and then jump.

While falling an unsuspecting bystander will be walking along, someone who I didn't see in my field of vision to begin with and walk right underneath where I am falling. They would die from the force of impact, but because they have a softer body than concrete the force of the fall would be spread out and I would survive the impact.

When in court for murder, the judge would say, "Any family member who wishes to kill this man by falling from a tall building may do so. Otherwise he is free."

And one day that very thing would happen, where I'd be walking along and *SMACK* out of nowhere comes one of the family members of the person I accidentally killed and I would be dead.

If that doesn't happen I want to die while fighting for a cause which I wholeheartedly believed in, such as the need for refugee protection in Darfur. Probably the only way I'd ever consider joining the military as well.

You'd certainly be complaining during it the not-quick and not-painless death.

Slow and painless is the way to go. So you can get in your final goodbyes.
