Deleted by sender? Whaa?

I got a PM. The title was "This message was deleted by its sender before it reached you" or something like that. However, I couldn't read the message; the only option was to delete it. What is this, and has it happened to anyone else?

Doesn't it sound self-explanatory? The person deleted the PM before you saw it. That is, if you were not logged in during the time of the sender's cancellation, then it becomes unreadable and the only option is to delete it.

Yep. This forum uses an Outbox, which lets you maintain "threads" of your own PMs. It also lets you edit and delete things in your Outbox, or remove the message entirely before the recipient sees it.
