I've never seen that before. It certainly does look like you gained momentum off of it.

i wouldn't call this a technique unless you could imitate it almost everytime & on a different map, it could have been that the bounce block pushed you under the OWP (one-way platform) & you jumped off the tile & you did i side double jump off the bounce block but the angle of the jump off the tile pushed you upwards
Heres the replay data for what you did, just copy paste & it will work willard

I don't think you know what you're talking about.Paradox-Dragon wrote:i wouldn't call this a technique unless you could imitate it almost everytime & on a different map, it could have been that the bounce block pushed you under the OWP (one-way platform) & you jumped off the tile & you did i side double jump off the bounce block but the angle of the jump off the tile pushed you upwards

Sometimes when you hit a horizontal launchpad at the same time as a corner, you'll get vertical height as well. I'm guessing your demo, the oneways were treated like a horizontal tile. But I haven't been able to duplicate it. :/

For the record, your demo no longer works without the one-ways.

That's nothing new. You're just jumping straight after hitting the launch pad, pushing you upwards.

I did this trick once on 197-4. but never saved the demo, and was never able to repeat it.
Meta is glad to see that somebody else was able to perform it.
Well it was almost the same. Mine was more of a corner jump than a walljump, but the same idea: I hit the horizontal launchpad, jumped, and gained height.
