No member of the community do I miss more than Jiggerjaw. A few weeks ago, I would have said Kablizzy, but since he's back now, and Jiggerjaw slowly fell off the face of the earth... I miss you, buddy.

Bupo. My partner in crime. Oh the days of all the treachery, multi-accounting and sniping. This bloody younger generation of mappers (cheesemonger, ChrisE, MCKY, etc) they don't have the old school styles we used to put out in '08. That was fun back then. And I was a reviewer 3 times. I miss Minty's reviews though, they were the best.

In other words, rewind time to the old days of the WORKING FEATURED QUEUE!

Pretty much yeah. Not that shit that everyone puts out today. All these horrible N-arts and generic races. Boring. Nothing's original.

Haha, nart season's well and truly over, thank god. As are the races, actually. Except the occasional Destiny/Riobe thing.

These things were actually all back in your "day".

As for kablizzy's "spaz attack" maybe he thinks it a bit rich for you to want to hark back to the days of, well, last year like it was forever ago. Considering he has been here as long as I can remember (since late 2004), and no doubt much longer to boot, he clearly appreciates the irony of your post in a way you fail to have done.

To clarify; this community is much older than your presence and you should think before proclaiming newer members ignorant of our past when you appear to have just as little experience as they do.

Well I've been here a year, which is enough to result in me having more experience than them.

Er. 2008 ain't old-school, at all. 2004-2005 is oldschool, and maybe 2006, but 2008 is way more recent. It's too new to be considered old school. It's like taking New Super Mario Bros for the DS and saying that's old school, and it's not nor will it ever be.

If you make any posts in Multimedia or Webcomics, I don't care how hilarious and on-point they are. Your text is getting replaced by images of Batman.

Oh this is pure gold.

andalus, do you not realise that the way that you perceive and talk about this 'younger generation' is exactly how you appear to most of us old timers? You're not old school, at all. You are new school. When you were making maps back in 2004 you can call yourself oldschool. This is the point blizz was making.

Also, when you start saying things like "R U DUMB OR WT LOL" as a response, you kinda lose any credibility you had to start with.
You really have a talent for shooting yourself in the foot.

I agree about n-arts. But races are still alive! There are several newbies working on honing their skills currently, and there are also multiple masters available and at work. We are kind of silent at the moment, but there is a new generation stirring. And the old generation is not completely out.

Speaking of which, Calamity7 has kind of been off and on. He joined for a short bit a while back (actually I think it has been about a year), and then left without explanation. Shame.

And how could I forget Dark_Zero? He made some great maps that I enjoy looking back on.
