I'm also going to kindly ask you not to claim two+ days in a row and not to do more than three reviews per month. Those are all my Q-tips.

Wait, what? Are we definitely only doing one review per week then? Or can we go whenever? If it's only one review per week, then I claim 1/12, otherwise I want to submit a review in december.

The general trend behind the reviewed maps lately has been sporadic and otherwise, very spaced. Since flag doesn't use the original queue anymore and since nobody knows when to do what, it seems pretty ok to try to align everything back together at this point. 'course you can try arguing for the daily reviews, but at this moment weekly reviews seem like a more fitting idea.zoasBE wrote:Me too.ChrisE wrote:I'm also confused by this.Nexx wrote:Wait, what? Fo shizzle. I would love to have daily reviews again. The one-a-week rule was only temporary.

Cool. So does that mean I can request my day in December, Sunset? I mean, I'm also fine with upping the minimum time between reviews, but seven days seems overkill. We had a review slump in November, but Sept and Oct were okay.▲▪►▪▼◄▲ wrote:Fo shizzle. I would love to have daily reviews again. The one-a-week rule was only temporary.
Also, I like the idea of strongly encouraging everyone to schedule their reviews beforehand. It's been too uncertain lately.
And is Sunset some sort of Q manager? Because that seems like a failure point a few months from now when Sunset doesn't want to have to do this anymore. I'm sure we could come up with some system for ourselves. How about when reviewers want to claim dates, they quote the schedule and add their claim? Then Sunset or whoever can just moderate as needed.

I'm not sure if I'm a manager so much since I just edit the thread for whoever's claiming dates.Nexx wrote:Cool. So does that mean I can request my day in December, Sunset? I'll try to work days into it somehow.

flag didn't like the idea of people reposting the queue, but I don't have a problem with it. I think it would work out just fine. Or at least it's worth a shot. Sunset will be 'in charge' for a few months or until he wants a break, and then somebody else can take over. (ortsz can do this really cool thing where he changes the author of the first post in a thread, and I'll ask him to do that.) I like the idea of my Featurers being mostly autonomous.

So is there any plan for breaking this up into days?
Otherwise, I could just post 2 reviews during my review week...

Just a small idea, but we could submit one or more reviews for our weeks, obviously with a few days between each of them.Nexx wrote:So is there any plan for breaking this up into days?

I would like this. I'll gladly post 2-3 reviews during my week if that's okay.

I'll pick Feb 9th week, and I think I'll make 3 reviews as well.
I think Rose's idea of to be able to do several reviews in your week is interesting for me too.

Why can't we review more often? I don't see 3-day intervals impossible, restricting reviewers is the last thing we want to do in an inactive community.
Taking the soonest available date.
E: saw maxson. It's alright but it's not really optimal.

I agree. Perhaps we could try a 3-day system for a while, and when reviews become too sparse even for that, then go back to this weekly system. Can wrote:Why can't we review more often? I would gladly give up the weeks I've already picked in order to reset to a 3-day system and re-sign up for new days. :D

So, I don't like it when a person posts more than one review in a row (because I used to do/allow that and it wasn't a smart idea), so if you can prevent that from happening, then by all means go for it. Find out if there are any inactive reviewers or people who want to become reviewers as well.
