Using Darkshadow's route (sorry dark), although like he says it is improvable so I don't expect my score to last long. I'm pretty sure you can't get the last gold using this route - if I jump high enough to get it, I miss either the switch or the bottom gold on the way down.
No problem. I wasn't planning on holding onto that one (though I couldn't resist retaking it with a still quite slow run). The route can be made into an AGD but I'm working instead on an even faster route.
Grrrr, I knew my 0th wouldn't last long but I was hoping for longer than half an hour! I thought you didn't like this level darkshadow? Hehe only joking, I'm looking forward to seeing your new route. Does it involve running up the left slope twice instead of just the once?

To be honest I was surprised you hadn't tackled this level before. When I looked at high scoring it, it became obvious that an "optimum" route hadn't been worked out - every high score took a different route. It made a nice change from the hundreds of levels where there is only one high-scoring route, and taking a score becomes an exercise in making as clean a run as possible using that route.

I'm not actually positive I'm going to be able to figure out a way to make the new route work, it involves after the big left to right jump doing a jump across to snag the switch and bottom left gold instead of just dropping down to grab five gold. There may not be any way to make it faster than the current route though. Also, is there a reason you're not using n-reality?

No real reason other than laziness and the fact that I try not to install too much software. However, I can see how I would get p***ed off if I somehow managed to get a decent 0th (unlikely as that is) but people thought I had cheated.

Anyway, I have taken the first step by downloading it, will take a look at it some time soon. And I guess there will be more levels for me to take a look at :-)

By the way, I take back what I said about getting the last gold using your route - it definitely is possible to get it as well as the switch and low gold.

See ;). But seriously I'd love to see a 109 run (and at some point I'll work on a 110 route).

Edit: Kudos to whoever came up with the new 36-1 route. Taken with a mediocre run.

96-1 speedrun. Only because I've given up on the highscore for now :-(

On a separate note, I finally installed Nreality and got a couple of 0ths in the 120 column - certainly a lot easier to highscore than the Metanet levels!

That's why we need more competition on those levels. Also, you might want to just submit all your 00-99 scores to Unreality's server.

117135, finally got a completion up on NReality on a map from the original Logik pack that I finished the first time well over a year ago, almost a year and a half. Plus, its even better than that original run :D

Also, great runs on 96-1 dark and glib_jase. So much better than mine...

So I was playing in the 140s last night, and I believe 142-4 has the most glitchy laser I've ever seen.

Image
The right laser fires at me when I'm not even in sight, and it hits a tile... >.>

Image
Not a new glitch, but through one tile and clips another.

Image
Through 2 tiles, again not new.

I was surprised when I saw the first glitch. o_o
It actually helped me to grab the terminal and hop back over before it could fire at me again.

96-1 retaken but with a horrible horrible run - AGD but only just squeaked 0th. I agree with dark, 109+ is definitely possible without altering this route but it's so frustratingly easy to miss a gold or switch.

I just noticed that LAT took 36-1 so I decided to retake it and 96-1 before I left the computer for the night. My run on 36-1 stills leaves at least a quarter second for improvement probably more like half a second and 96-1 still needs a route tweak but it should be possible to get 110.

Dude, that is an awesome innovation - how do you spot this kind of stuff? It just goes to show that even when a high scoring route looks like it has no alternative, it's always worth taking a second look.

Also, very nice 96-1 run, no way I can compete with that. I've given up trying to get that lower gold on the left when dropping down - it's the one point during the run when you need to avoid the rocket and you can't get far enough to the right at the top of the jump to get the right angle. Although no doubt someone will prove me wrong ;-)

I think you might do well highscoring NUMA maps too. If you don't know how to highscore them on NReality, go to userlevels, and type the map ID in the top box.

Acctually that innovation was Meta_ing's. He showed it to me yesterday, and I let it slip to dark about it and he took the 0th a short while later.
