The ultimate "tabletop" game!
I was thinking it'd be pretty cool if those of us that play more than casually posted some video highlights or something. I hope to do this some time soon, and I would've held the thread a bit, but this way you guys can be posting videos in the meantime.
If, that is, anyone here really plays ping pong well. Who knows?

I consider myself a decent player of the ping pong. Not fantastic or anything, but I'd say decent.

I'm above the skill level at which you can use spin to solid use, but below the point that you can effectively resist it. The end result is that most of my games are mutually massive offense against very poor defense.
That said, because I got good at the spinny crap, I play against other casual players and usually win. But I did have a very confusing ordeal not too long ago against my 10-year old sister in which she totally dominated me. It was really inexplicable.

Same as Suki, except I can't play for crap. I've also played an interesting variant of the game where you get two small tealight candles, place them in the middle of each side of the table, and attempt to bat the ping-pong ball into your opponent's candle. It was quite explosive! And I won. So I wasn't the one covered in wax afterward.

My favorite two variations of the game are 1) only shots that land on the middle line count as points, and 2) arena! So you can whack it off the walls of your garage and shit.

Great game. Sadly I am terrible at it. I bet you have beaten me before.

I would consider myself pretty good at it. I can place the ball wherever I want with whatever spin I want, although I've never played against anyone terribly good. I murder my family, but I don't know how well I would fare against someone as good as me.

I cannot spin the ball to save my life. Partly because I've never really made an effort to learn how to, I suppose. I'm fairly good at playing spin because my dad spins it like a bitch, and he's the only reason I know any table tennis at all.

I think I'm pretty good; I think I could beat the vast majority of people in my year, but I don't play it enough to be able to compete with the very best. Usually I can deal with spin, but my strong point is reliability: I'm good at just hitting the ball back to my opponent, and can return about 25% of strong smashes.

I play ping pong EVERY day. I have a nice table in my basement. I think I'm quite good.

A guy at my school called Kevin is a pro at this game. He did a demonstration today, in fact; blew my mind.

When I was new to this game I could spin the ball with my eyes closed. Now I can bet you for 10 bucks that you can beat me in this game with your eyes closed.
However, I do started to play usually again lately.
